  • Perfect Family Vacation Home

"TP's Place was everything they said it was and more! The house was a nice size for our family. There was room for us all to gather and room if we needed separation as well. The house was very clean and well maintained. You could tell that the family loves this house. We had one minor issue with the wifi, Kim was very responsive and it was resolved quickly. We appreciated knowing ahead of time about the driveway but had no issues getting our boat, which is smaller, in and out. We also appreciated knowing that the boat lift was unavailable for renters to use so were able to come up with an anchor system of our own that worked quite nicely. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Awesome lakefront cottage!!

"We just returned from a week's stay at this great cottage right on Intermediate Lake in Belllaire, MI. The center is town is just a few minutes away and has an excellent brewery for lunch/dinner (Short's), as well as a very busy ice cream stand! There is also a post office, grocery store (Family Fare), and laundromat within a 10 minute drive. If you are looking to go to mass while you are visiting, you may be surprised and happy to see a Catholic church just down the street! The cottage itself is great. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Although the bathroom/shower was small... it did the trick perfectly. There are three bedrooms, 2 with queen or full bed and the other has 2 sets of 2 bunk beds. There is a small TV with cable provided and the WIFI was excellent/fast!! The cottage itself was very clean and you can tell that Todd and Julie take pride in this property. The lawn was meticulous and the flowers planted throughout the property were in full bloom and beautiful. We loved the clothesline in the yard... used that a lot to dry towels and bathing suits. Trash is picked up onsite weekly, so you don't need to worry about delivering it any place. There is no A/C... but even during a heat wave while we were there (temps were 90-92), we didn't feel hot. Once the sun went down, we opened up the windows and had a nice lake breeze to cool the inside. My kids (6 and 8) loved jumping off the dock and playing water games. The water felt pretty warm in August. My husband went fishing every day in the rented kayak provided by the homeowners. Although it wasn't as stable as a fishing kayak, it did the trick and he was happy to catch some fish. We took day trips to Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We also drove up to the UP to see what it was like. There were so many great places to see/do all within a 90 minutes-2 hour drive. We drove from PA to this rental cottage to see what Michigan was like. It was a vacation that did not disappoint. I hope we can return someday to this lovely cottage!!"

  • Upper Michigan gem

"The special attention and care that the owners of this property put into our stay was over the top. It is a large home with lots of space and a great outside deck that gives you a view of Torch Lake. A very quiet and peaceful neighborhood yet an easy walk or bike into the charming town of Alden. We loved having it as our home base to explore around the region, it was a perfect location for our trip. It is not far from Traverse City if you want a bit more action, yet the town of Alden had its own weekly farmers market if you wanted something close by. Loved the yarn shop in town! The property was clean and the owners were gracious and warm. I look forward to staying in touch."

  • A very special place for two

"Outstanding use of space using first class building materials and finished as only a fine craftsmen can complete. The decor was also extremely well done to compliment the natural lake setting and views. The carriage unit had all the comforts of home including a well stocked pantry and linens and comfortable porch furniture . This a special place off the beaten track but just 15 minutes from everything: restaurants, beaches, shopping, wineries and a wide variety of activities. The listing was very accurate including the photos."
