  • Lovely cottage

"Our 2nd visit to White Pines Cottage was relaxing and peaceful. It's a lovely private setting and Harper Lake is a calm, easy lake for canoeing and paddle boating. The owners think of everything needed for a pleasurable stay. With the hint of autumn and cool September nights, comfy beds, evening bonfires and morning coffee on the large deck...just a wonderful getaway!"

  • Life in the Woods

"The home was beautiful and well stocked with all amenities. The boats and lake were nice as well.Didn't catch any fish but was very scenic .Rose was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The area is the reason I gave it only 4 stars,it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere.About an hour from any Major Town.We traveled to Ludington,Muskegon.& Traverse City for sightseeing. So if you want to get away from it all this is the place to go."

  • Perfect family lake place

"This was exactly what I was looking for - decent cottage on a peaceful not too big not too small lake. Paddlecraft, docks, and raft were in good shape - we used all of them constantly. Beach area is in spotty shade/sun so you keep cool, but if you want to sun - hang out on the raft, which has reclining chairbacks and a little table for your drink. Lake is small enough to swim across - go early before the jetskis come out. Powercraft not too annoying, very intermittent when we were there. Cottage itself was nice enough for what we needed it for - sleeping. It's a cottage so it's nothing fancy but has all the basics. Four in my family - wife, 13 yr old, 11 yr old. We were there for 3 nights and did visits to Dunes and Traverse City - both with time left to come back to play in the lake. Not sure the kids could have done a week there, but pretty sure I could have, with a good book or two."

  • Very clean and quiet!

"This cabin was so clean!! It had cable, washer and dryer, and a fire ring. I felt at home while away from home! Shawn was great to work with and answered any questions we had. I have already recommended the cabin to friends. It is about 20 minutes from town, but it is right next to great places to hike. We are not fishers, but I know it is a great place to stay if you fish! It was a nice quiet weekend away from home with hiking, smores, and alone time!"
