  • Excellent Rental

"Very nice cottage, lots of room and very quiet. The lake is shallow for quite a ways out making it nice for our six year old."

  • Beautiful Home and Lake

"Our family of five just returned from our stay on Lake Leelanau. This home was perfect for our family and each one enjoyed it very much. All information and photos accurarately represented the home. We also rented the pontoon boat and that made it even better. Everyday we would leisurely boat to one of several areas to shop or dine. To the north there is Leelanau and we enjoyed the distillery and amazing lunch they served next door. Further north is Leland for fun shopping and fish town. The Cheese Shanty has to be on your list for a sandwich. South of the house was a restaurant that we would dock at for a nice lunch and drinks. The weather was perfect our entire trip. There was an occasional shower but didn't last job at all. There was much for the kids to do, rain or shine. From basketball to volleyball to kayaking, they had a great time. The people in the area are some of the most relaxed and friendly people we have ever met. The sand dunes to the west were a fun day trip. Suttons Bay east of the lake has many shops and restaurants. After leaving we travelled to Mackinac Island taking the long way. M-119 tunnel of trees was one of the most beautiful roads I have ever been on. Our entire experience in northern Michigan exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend staying in this home owned by Larry Fleis. Larry was so helpful in providing us with the information we needed for our trip. We are very thankful for him allowing us to stay in his beautiful home. We look forward to returning again someday!"

  • Great rental

"The house and location are very unique, and exactly as advertised. The house is really spacious and comfortable, with all kinds of cool details in the woodwork and layout, loved it. The property is very secluded and huge, lots to explore, and the mowed paths make it easy to do that. The lake frontage is also amazing, including a new dock, plenty of seating, and a fire pit. It's also a great base from which to explore other areas of the Leelanau Peninsula, Sleeping Bear, Old Mission Peninsula, etc. cause it's so centrally located. Kate was super responsive and helpful, we highly recommend this house. Also, was quite surprised to find that there really weren't many mosquitoes in late June, even though the house is in the middle of the woods. We sat out on the deck till midnight without any issues."
