  • Beautiful area

"This was our first trip to Northern Michigan and we loved it! Jim's eclectic rental is ideally located between Traverse City and dozens of wineries, breweries, cute villages and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Our favorite spots were The Towne Plaza in downtown Traverse City and Tandem Ciders outside Suttons Bay. The property was clean and free of bugs. Morning summer sun pours into the house, which I appreciated but late sleepers may not. Jim was very responsive and flexible, even with our changing flight arrival times."

  • Large, comfortable and well-equipped home on peaceful Bryan Lake. Great location!

"This house had plenty of space, inside and out, for our family of six during a week-long family reunion. The older boys loved paddling on Bryan lake, playing pool and games in the family room, and our 3-year old enjoyed the nice selection of books. The deck was perfect for a large family gathering one evening. We also took advantage of a nearby Almira Township Park and enjoyed its picnic shelters, bathrooms and playground equipment. Other activities included climbing the Dunes, kayaking the Platte River, playing on Frankfurt's beach and exploring nearby Traverse City. The owners are very caring and thoughtful and provided all the necessary information about their home. Barb and Steve, thank you for sharing your piece of paradise."

  • Wonderful for an weekend getaway

"The Borns thought of everything. This Little Red Boathouse is oozing with character. Cheri really thought of everything. The kitchen wants for nothing (maybe a slightly less complex coffee machine). No need to bring things like a tea kettle or water filter pitcher, they are there. All of the kitchen utensils that any vacation cook could need. Ice trays in the freezer. The fire pit set up is perfect. The outdoor area has benches, chairs and a picnic table. Any or all of them great for lounging and taking in the beauty of the lake, morning coffee or evening drinks. There are a plethora of board games to choose from. There is a wealth of information on local places to eat and see. We had a lovely weekend away at the Little Red Boathouse. We'll definitely be returning in the future."
