  • Great Lake House!

"We had a group of 7 couples stay for a long weekend of wine tasting and relaxing and the cottage worked out great! We enjoyed the large kitchen for cooking and the lower level with the game tables and TV. Close to everything on Leelanau Penninsula and owner had very good recommendations for dinners. Loved the hike to Lake Michigan! The lake the house is on was beautiful but hot tub was perfect, as it was a little chilly. Only drawback was the bunk beds are a little tough for adults, but overall, worked out. Owner was very responsive. Would definitely recommend for a getaway spot."

  • The stay was great!

"The place we stayed in was very well taken care of. It was a good halfway point between traverse city and a lot of the places around the upper part of Michigan, such as Leland and Suttons Bay. Bill was great, he greeted us in person when we got there, he had all sorts of good information for things to do around the place. He directed us to a terrific restaurant in Leland call The Cove, which was terrific. He also had some great suggestions as for Wineries to try out on the way up to the old mission lighthouse, along with a lot of additional things to check out while around Traverse city. For people with bikes, there's a really nice paved trail that runs very close to the property. The only reason I knocked off a star (if I could, I'd only knock off half a star) is because of the internet. We were a little disappointed by the fact that the internet didn't work. Bill did explain that they were installing fiber optic in the area and that was impacting the internet service, so I understand there wasn't much he could do. There was cable to occupy the evenings, but still it was a bit disappointing. With the internet, it would have been perfect! Thanks again for everything Bill!"

  • Wonderful home away from home while vacationing! Highly recommend this home! It was PERFECT!

"Wonderful home away from home while vacationing! Highly recommend this home! It was PERFECT! We had 17 people in our group vacation at the house and it was perfect. The house was extremely clean! The house felt so much bigger than it looked from the outside. Things we had packed that we didn't need because they were provided like camp chairs, some beach chairs and bikes. We enjoyed kayaks, paddle boards and tubes provided by the homeowner! That was a huge cost savings for our trip as well. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. We grilled on the patio and enjoyed the yard. Walked to the river and minutes form Lake Michigan. We were a short drive for those that wanted shopping and minutes form all sorts of beach and national park activities. All of our kids have enough trees to place 6 hammocks up in the yard. Very tranquil and quiet yard space. We did use bottled water for drinking water as the osmosis filter wasn't working great but it was fine for cooking and coffee, tea in the morning. Cooked most our meals there and the kitchen was plenty stocked with pots and pans for our big group. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and will be back for sure!"
