  • Very nice and quiet

"This was a very nice and quite place to stay for a relaxing week. Anything you need for a get away is here! The cottage was very clean. The lake was great for kayaking and taking the paddle boat around the lake was fun. Enjoyed hanging by the firepit at night. Making day trips was easy and not far from Traverse City and the National Park. Thanks again for allowing us to stay. We really enjoyed it!"

  • Excellent location for a family getaway

"We are a family of five including three teenagers ranging from 5'4" to 6'3". We've learned that renting a home is more comfortable and affordable than two rooms or a suite at a hotel or resort. For our trip to Leelanau area, Cedar Cabin was the perfect accommodation. Four bedrooms, a master suite and wireless broadband ensured all had a getaway spot when needed. Everything was functional, well maintained and clean for our arrival. All linens are included and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverwear. The cupboards included a shelf of interesting spices, and above the coffee maker the fixin's for the morning's brew. We left some coffee beans for the next guests. Hint: use the hand grinder for a more even grind! The cabin is located about half way between Cedar, Glen Arbor and Leland ensuring civilization was less than 30 mins away. We spend a day climbing sleeping bear dunes (30 min drive), another kayaking the Platte (40 min drive) and a couple more exploring the parks, lighthouses and wineries of Mission and Leelanau peninsulas. Each was a comfortable day trip allowing for lazy mornings and return for sunset. Speaking of sunset: The deck is guarded by a gargoyle we named "Hank", and offers spectacular views of Little Traverse Lake and Lake Michigan featuring North Manitou Island. We even caught the kids sneaking out to the deck to enjoy the view without the lure of s'mores at the fire pit. If circumstances permit would we return? Absolutely!"

  • Very nice and well maintained property.

"We found this condo to be clean and comfortable. It was nicely decorated and very well equipped. The grounds of the condo complex are attractively landscaped and maintained well. The condo is quiet and the location is very good. We enjoyed our time there and would stay again in this condo. We came to Traverse City mainly for the film festival and did see three excellent movies: one Norwegian, one Swedish and one Irish. We did other things in the area and particularly enjoyed our drive out the penninsula where we stopped at wineries and visited the lighthouse and our trip to the Dennos Museum which has a great collection of Inuit art."

  • Great Family Vacation

"Our family spent a week here and had a great time. The house is gorgeous along with the views of the East Bay. The proximity to the so many Traverse City offerings was terrific. The house was large enough for our group of 10 with room to spare."
