  • Returned for 4th year in a row - and loved it!

"This is our 4th year vacationing at this home, and we loved it! It's truly comfort: the kitchen is stocked with every need, the linen is quality, and the house is roomy. Our extended family range in ages from 5 years old to 76 years old; 17 people in all. The outdoor space offers hours of fun for all ages (swimming, beach toys, loungers, kayak, row boat, fish tackle, life jackets, hammack, and fire pit). And the views are AMAZING. It's worth getting up at 5:30 AM just to see the sun rise over the lake! The home owners have created a perfect space to relax, enjoy each other's company, and create new memories."

  • Wonderful house in a beautiful place!

"My husband, 3 kids, and father stayed here and all of us loved it. John was there to welcome us when we arrived, and gave us a tour and answered all our questions about the house and the area - he's so nice! We loved the house and the rural location that was convenient to many of the places we wanted to visit. The beach is only 5 minutes away, and there are wineries super close by too. Highly recommend Good Harbor for tasting! At night, you can enjoy s'mores at the firepit and look at the stars. This is a great place for families and we would definitely recommend it to anyone else!"

  • Lovely home with perfect location

"We really enjoyed our time at this home. The property was exceptionally clean and well taken care of with everything you could want. The kitchen is large and very well furnished and the living spaces were very comfortable. The location of the property could not have been move perfect midway between Omena and Traverse City. We are keeping this listing for the future as we would not hesitate to stay again."

  • Wonderful stay!!

"I was really kind of torn about writing this review. This place is amazing and I really didn't want anyone else to find out about it so that we could keep booking it. In the end, I decided to not be selfish. My family has stayed in quite a few places on Lake Michigan, but this place is the best yet. I have a 4 year old and and 8 month old. So, of course with the 8 month old I was concerned about how clean it would be since she crawls everywhere. That is really the first thing I noticed when I walked in, just how clean it was. It was kept up the way that we would keep a place up if we had a lake house. This is a really great place to go if you have kids. There are lots of toys and games already there, which my 4 year old LOVED! The pack and play and the high chair were big bonuses for us as well. It was really nice not having to pack those. This place just had everything we needed. The yard is also pretty private, which is nice. Most places on the lake have long, crazy staircases to get down to the beach, but not this place. It's just a short flight down and you are right on the beach. There are tons of rocks down on the beach and we found the best Petoskey stones right there. Oh man, and the sunsets...I can't even explain how beautiful they are. The only bad thing I can say is that the bed in the room my husband and I picked was not very comfortable, but there are plenty of other beds to choose. So, I think next time we would just sleep in a different room, which is fine. All in all, this place is wonderful and we are already planning our trip for next year."
