  • Clean & well stocked - great kayaking location

"We stayed at the cottage for a kayaking trip and it was a great location to explore the Chain O' Lakes in the area. The home is VERY clean and has pretty much everything needed in the kitchen & bathroom. Pat was very accommodating and helpful and has done a nice job keeping the place up. None of the nearby cottages were occupied so we had the place to ourselves and it was very quiet. The double beds were small but not uncomfortable. Price was reasonable for the area. Would definitely recommend this home for paddling or boating, not so much for swimming or laying on the beach though. For us, it was ideal. Thank you Pat!"

  • Great getaway for family of fou

"Myself, wife, and two sons (age 3 and 6) enjoyed four days and three nights at the LRBH this past June. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. The LRBH was not very large but more than met our needs. We spent each morning climbing and exploring the dunes. We enjoyed downtown Leland and Glen Arbor during the days. We swam in the lake and enjoyed s'mores by the fire each night. We would recommend Cedar Sol Hydroponic Farm for their taco stand one day, the Village Cheese Shanty in Leland for a deliscious sandwich and the Hop Lot in Suttons Bay for a good bite to eat and a beer. For those with children: the property doesn't have much space between the front door and M22 (maybe three car lengths or so) and the lake is immediately off the back deck of the house. The owner states this in the description and reiterated that to me before I booked. I appreciated her genuine compassion for my family's well being. The proximity of the road and lake were NOT an issue for my family. Great location: located almost directly between Glen Arbor and Leland. For runners: I ran a nice 5.5 mile run around the lake one afternoon. Busy on M22 but not at all on littler traverse lake rd."

  • Returned for 4th year in a row - and loved it!

"This is our 4th year vacationing at this home, and we loved it! It's truly comfort: the kitchen is stocked with every need, the linen is quality, and the house is roomy. Our extended family range in ages from 5 years old to 76 years old; 17 people in all. The outdoor space offers hours of fun for all ages (swimming, beach toys, loungers, kayak, row boat, fish tackle, life jackets, hammack, and fire pit). And the views are AMAZING. It's worth getting up at 5:30 AM just to see the sun rise over the lake! The home owners have created a perfect space to relax, enjoy each other's company, and create new memories."

  • Family gathering

"This was the perfect place for my family to join together to celebrate my stepson's 30th birthday. He is from Colorado so I was excited to show him what northern Michigan has to offer. Him and his girlfriend, whom is from Columbia, truly enjoyed Northport and staying at this wonderful home. We had a total of 6 adults staying at the house and had plenty of space. Definitely will recommend staying here and I am hoping I will be able to in the future."
