  • Cute little beachy home

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great stay at this location. It was close to town, close to the other properties that others were staying at, and close to the beach! You could even see the water at the end of our street! Everyone in the area is very friendly. I would highly recommend the community of Northport to anyone who wants a quiet getaway with friends and family. This house was just the icing on the cake. Lots of room for everyone who was there, and for friends to come over for a visit. Great outdoor seating. A cute little kitchen to cook in. Lots of dining space. If we head back up anytime soon, we will definitely be staying here again."

  • Nice little getaway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our two night stay in Cottage 1. It is the closet cottage to the lake. We loved the back screened porch. Beautiful views. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. The property mangers provided a list of places to go and things to do. There is no internet, so I screened shot the list they sent me via email. We enjoy road trips so we took a day trip southwest to the The Sleeping Bear Dunes. Beautiful scenery and we were so close we didn't want to miss the sandy dunes and the views of Lake Michigan. Traverse City is about 30 miles. away. Great place for a family getaway."

  • Lovely!

"When my niece's wedding fell through at the last minute, because hurricane Matthew had other plans, we ended up looking for a rental up north. Despite the short notice, our host was very accommodating and gave us our getaway. The property is in a wonderful location and we felt at home immediately in the generously appointed lodging. One can't go wrong if one is looking for a relaxing vacation amid northern lower Michigan's beauty and offerings (wineries aplenty, and, you were right about the cinnamon twists and chocolate cake donuts at Barb's). Rent and relax. You won't regret it."

  • More than just accommodations - a destination

"It is so hard to sum up our incredible adventure in a few paragraphs - the property and home are absolutely beautiful; rich wood accents and pleasant soft lighting throughout with all the amenities you would expect in your own house. Rooms are well sized and comfortable - I slept great every night with the windows open, allowing the cool breeze and sounds of lake Michigan to ease me into sleep. Even with my family of four (with two young children), my sister and her husband felt as if they had their own separate suite - we really appreciated how roomy and well laid out the floor plan was. And the amazing views of of the lake Michigan sunset every night were stunning - something you just can't see on the bay side. The feeling of solitude we enjoyed all week was exactly what my family and I needed. While normally I am the first to get up early and plan the local adventure, I was the one saying "let's just stay here - it doesn't get any better than this". Our family spent most of the days in the lake - battling the waves on our inflatable "ship", searching for Petosky stones on the private beach and dining afterward outside on the amazing deck. We grilled almost every night but also ate at a delightful restaurant down the road close enough to ride our bikes to (yes, there are bikes available here to use)! We simply made amazing memories here that we will never forget. Very highly recommended as a family retreat!"
