  • Returned for 4th year in a row - and loved it!

"This is our 4th year vacationing at this home, and we loved it! It's truly comfort: the kitchen is stocked with every need, the linen is quality, and the house is roomy. Our extended family range in ages from 5 years old to 76 years old; 17 people in all. The outdoor space offers hours of fun for all ages (swimming, beach toys, loungers, kayak, row boat, fish tackle, life jackets, hammack, and fire pit). And the views are AMAZING. It's worth getting up at 5:30 AM just to see the sun rise over the lake! The home owners have created a perfect space to relax, enjoy each other's company, and create new memories."

  • Quiet and secluded getaway

"My wife and I stayed and the Bass Lake cottage for two glorious weeks late June and early July. It was everything we expected and more. Google maps doesn't quiet know where it is but Robyn's directions were perfect so that was OK. Cottage is set off from a very quiet gravel road so there is no traffic noise, ever. It sits high on a hill from the lake and the woods surrounding the cottage add to the peacefulness. Although the cottage is well appointed (good coffee maker), we cook a lot so we had to buy a few things, easy enough to do because there are great supermarkets and shops within a 15 min drive. We brought our bikes and took them to Sutton's Bay (from which there is a beautiful bike trail to Traverse City) and to Glen Arbor (for another nice bike trail through the Sleeping Bear dunes). The lake shore is silty, but once we got in the canoe we had a nice time just paddling around the lake, which was also very quiet since I think there are only a few houses around it. Robyn and Nick were very attentive and made our time there a wonderful getaway."

  • Family place away from it all

"We had a fabulous stay at the cabin with our 4 kids. This place is amazing! The pictures don't do justice to the custom craftsmanship in the house, bunkhouse, and barn. The cabin is equipped with anything you could possibly need - the kitchen is a cook's dream - the bunkhouse and barn add even more value. 3 kayaks and more bikes than I could count, a ping-pong table, board games, even a set of old school wooden blocks which my little boys loved. It's about a 15 minute drive to Northport, a quaint little town, and within an hour of Sleeping Bear dunes, Traverse City, Leland, Sutton's Bay so you can find plenty to do, see, and eat if you want to stay busy, or just chill at the house! Steve was great, quick to reply from our initial inquiry throughout our week-long stay."
