  • Lovely Cottage!

"We had a wonderful vacation in the little yellow cottage. It was quiet, clean, and peaceful. From the photos on the web-site it looked small, but we were pleasantly surprised to see how spacious and open it was. I loved the tall windows on the porch and the lovely wood floors. The cabin has "artistic" touches that most rentals don't have. We really enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to vacationing here again. Thanks for the flowers on the dining room table. We felt "at home" in your Beach Bucket cottage. Sue E"

  • Clean cottage at a reasonable price

"Spent 4 days at one of these cabins (there are 3) and enjoyed our visit. Classic "up north" cottages- spartan, knotty pine interior, small bathroom but very clean on our arrival. Beds are springy (bring a pad if you like yours soft). Also bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags, as well as linens and towels as none are supplied. Lake side of cabins is shared- common gas grill and patio chiminea for fires- but individual picnic tables. Steps down to the lake may not be suitable for elderly or disabled. Lake was sandy bottom, really nice for swimming. It's fairly clear water & shallow for a long way out (3.5 feet at the dock). We kayaked on the lake and up into Mullet Creek and enjoyed it very much. Ken's Groceries is a 10 minute drive into Indian River and fully stocked. Only downside to the cabins were they are near a busier road that has traffic noise during the day but quiets down at night and we still slept well."

  • Hidden gem in the woods

"We stayed at Unit 18 over the Fourth of July holiday and we were very pleased with the unit. The kitchen has been recently renovated and had all new appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need. There were five beds (two bedrooms with doors and a open air loft), and very comfortable couch and love seat. The unit is air conditioned and had fans. There was a very nice small deck with 4 chairs to enjoy morning coffee or a meal. Overall, this unit was neat, clean and very comfortable. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to rent again from them! Harbor Cove is a wonderful community with a private beach, pool and tennis courts and an easy bike ride or healthy walk to downtown Harbor Springs. The private beach was lovely because there were no crowds and the club house there had clean bathrooms and outdoor faucets to hose down after leaving the beach. There is even an indoor pool for days when it is rainy. Great condo, great community!"

  • Affordable condo; better than a hotel

"After finding this place on VRBO we cancelled our reservation at a local hotel. For a little more money, we were able to enjoy a lot more space, the convenience of a kitchen, and the bonus of a pool, sauna, and hot tub."
