  • Great place for a large family

"We had a great experience at the Halcyon house. We had 5 adults and 3 kids under age 3. We were able to have each kid in their own room which was great for them. There are 2 living rooms plus the game room in the basement so plenty of space to spread out. There are also 2 washer/dryers so we were easily able to stay ahead of the laundry! The public beach across the street is very nice for young kids - shallow and full of families. Overall the accommodations were comfortable and pleasant. We would gladly return next year."

  • Spacious Home in a Perfect Location

"Great house! Nestled above Crystal Lake and an easy drive into Frankfort, this house gave us the flexibility we needed to enjoy easy excursions. The rooms were very large and there are lots of windows - there are fans throughout the home - but we never needed them, even on 90 degree days, the house stays cool! 2 bathrooms really makes a difference when you have a larger party!. The home was very clean when we arrived and it's stocked with A LOT of cook ware. I brought my own and found it unnecessary to use. The only down side was the grill, but we managed just fine. This is a great home if you need large space. It's not ON Crystal and we weren't intent on being right on the lake, but headed to Elberta Beach and Frankfort to enjoy the water."

  • Well-appointed cottage on picturesque Green Lake has everything you need.

"Lovely cottage; three outdoor dining and lounging perches with just enough yard for playing bean bags. Watch kids splash off the pristine pier that extends over clean, clear shallow water of Green Lake with sandy bottom from lovely boat house roof, and comfy Adirondacks. Gourmet Kitchen has everything one could need to grill out or cook inside; bonus: tons of storage and perfectly organized items at an arms reach. Original jalousie windows are amazing for natural ventilation throughout cottage and living room is comfortable place to lounge inside and look at lake. Perfect post for two adults and two kids to relax between biking and kayaking excursions in the local area."

  • Just What We Needed

"We just returned from a week at Grove House and had the best time ever. The property is secluded but within walking distance of the town of Empire, the Sleeping Bear Heritage bike trail, and Lake Michigan. It is peaceful and quiet there. Our dogs were able to roam the grounds off leash (not possible in the city where they live) and we spent many hours on the enclosed porch, watching the wildlife or catching up on our reading. It was truly the rest and recuperation we both needed after a really hard winter and work schedule. The place is spotless, well equipped, and the owners are tremendously helpful. Will definitely visit again."
