  • Charming Cottage is all you hope it will be!

"My husband and I just spent two weeks at the charming Wilce cottage, and we had a wonderfully, beautiful stay there. We loved being "in town" and getting familiar with our neighbors and the neighborhood. The rhythm of the Village was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The house is just as described and we were very, very comfortable. We had elderly family members visit us, and they were also able to enjoy the space without any problems. I highly recommend this cottage for your next stay in Empire!"

  • Perfect Location!

"We stayed here August 13-20th. The home is just across from the Dune climb and we used the canoe and paddle boat often. We were 5 adults and 2 kids (4 and 7) staying at the house with multiple other family members staying in the area so we had wonderful large family dinners on the patio with an amazing view. The round patio table was a bit difficult to get in and out of sometimes. The house was not updated, but very clean and provided enough space for everyone (although we spent most of the time outdoors). We climbed the dunes a few times, toured the Pierce Stocking Drive and overlooks and floated the Platte River to Lake Michigan. We would highly recommend this home and had a wonderful time!"

  • Just What We Needed

"We just returned from a week at Grove House and had the best time ever. The property is secluded but within walking distance of the town of Empire, the Sleeping Bear Heritage bike trail, and Lake Michigan. It is peaceful and quiet there. Our dogs were able to roam the grounds off leash (not possible in the city where they live) and we spent many hours on the enclosed porch, watching the wildlife or catching up on our reading. It was truly the rest and recuperation we both needed after a really hard winter and work schedule. The place is spotless, well equipped, and the owners are tremendously helpful. Will definitely visit again."
