  • One of our new favorites!

"This was one of our favorite getaways so far! Our first time in northern Michigan and it was everything we hoped for and more. Our fondness for the cottage grew throughout the week. It was clean and super accommodating for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The screened in porch facing the lake is a bonus, especially in the morning and evenings. The sunsets are amazing, but we really enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning and afternoons by the dock. Our dogs loved the yard, especially the hill. They used it to chase their toys and dry off by sliding on their back down the hill. Suttons bay is absolutely breathtaking. Its crystal clear and very calm especially most mornings. The water temp was perfect during our stay and even refreshing on a couple of the hotter days. Reesie, our water loving dog, couldn't get enough. The water depth was perfect for for doggy paddling. My favorite was the paddle board rental. The calm waters are great for the novice paddle boarder. We rented for a day, but next time will rent for the week. The town of Suttons bay is less than 5 minutes away. It was a little busy during our stay, but we ordered carry out from a few of the places and Hansons (grocery) provided everything we needed for the rest of our meals. We had the best lake perch and whitefish from Boones pub. We stopped for cherries, sweet corn and honey at local road stands. The location is perfect for touring around the area on short day trips. It's like a step back in time. No chain restaurants/stores for miles. It will definitely be one of our top destinations. Can't wait to come back."

  • A very special place for two

"Outstanding use of space using first class building materials and finished as only a fine craftsmen can complete. The decor was also extremely well done to compliment the natural lake setting and views. The carriage unit had all the comforts of home including a well stocked pantry and linens and comfortable porch furniture . This a special place off the beaten track but just 15 minutes from everything: restaurants, beaches, shopping, wineries and a wide variety of activities. The listing was very accurate including the photos."

  • Everything you need and more....

"My family had an awesome time at Baylake Cottage, it was close to everything. Chris has the cottage well prepared for your visit. The weather was perfect and the sunrises were amazing down by the lake. There is plenty of room for everyone. Some of the places we went to: Sleepng Bear Dunes, Hop Lot Brewery (down the road), Wineries and Hansons Groceries has anything you forgot. There is plenty to do in this area. Enjoy your stay."

  • Beach Luxury in Suttons Bay

"I was first shocked when I pulled up to this home which appears to be from a picture in a magazine and the inside exceeded all my expectations. Everything in the house is high end including the appliances, beautiful granite even in the laundry room, very private location with a large yard probably on almost an acre. We stayed with 2 other couples which was perfect with everyone having their separate levels of the house and plenty of space to spread out. Our kids stayed the second half of our week and the stay was not long enough. Their is also a very nice deck right off the kitchen/master bedroom to enjoy coffee in the morning as well as a patio with access in the lower level with additional seating. The location cannot be beat as well. We walked to town each day for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. The beach in town is within walking distance, but also check out Van's Beach in Leland which is a short 15 min. drive. So much to do in the area for adults and kids. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!"
