  • Fantastic experience

"This property is wonderful. The owners go out of their way to make the cabin warm and welcoming. The flower boxes and pots added a pop of color to the woodsy setting. There are so many different venues from which to enjoy the property----there is a lovely back deck, firepit w/benches and chairs, wooden swing overlooking the river, deck chairs overlooking the river, and a little dock on the river from which you can climb down into the river and get into a chest high swimming hole. The birdfeeders were full and we saw at least 15 different bird varieties--and to make identification easier, the owner has a "birds of MI" book for use. Kitchen complete w/all cooking utensils etc. Cabin was immaculate. Neighborhood is quiet. Convenient to Crystal Mountain if you don't feel like cooking. Would highly recommend the pie stand around the corner--pies and choc chip cookies, yum. We left every day to find a rail trail for cycling, or kayaked on the Betsie out of Crystal Mtn. We got to some great trails w/in 30-45 mins. Our daughter was at camp at Interlochen and that was about a 20-25 min drive. Cabin was a welcoming and comfortable retreat from the world. I would highly recommend it."
