  • Perfect place for friends and family to relax together!!!

"What an absolute JOY it was to stay in this wonderful little gem..from the moment we arrived, we knew it would be a GREAT WEEK!! The space was very large and open, perfect for all of us to gather! While the kitchen was slightly "close quarters", it was perfectly accommodating and well furnished! All of the bedrooms, the bunk house and the small adjacent cabin (rented by friends) were comfortable and very clean! The grounds are beautiful and the property is very close to a great marina where we rented a pontoon, kayaks, paddle boards etc...and paddled it all back to the house! Yes, THAT close!! All in all, it was a fantastic week and we, FOR SURE, would rent here time and time again!!!"

  • Beautiful week at a beautiful lake house...

"Intermediate Lake has been a home away from home for my family since 1983, and the Bellaire area for my father's family since the 60's. I grew up staying at Holiday Shores resort on Intermediate Lake for a week every August. We ventured away for several years staying on several other lakes throughout Northern Michigan, but our hearts were always at Intermediate Lake and we longed to go back. We finally returned to Intermediate Lake four years ago staying in a couple of other lake homes, but I would have to say this was all around my favorite spot. We had such a great time in this beautiful lake house. The layout is so open and airy with windows lining the entire front giving views of the lake from every angle. The house is decorated so nicely with pretty comfy furniture and an amazing dining room table. We loved having the fully finished walkout basement for added hang out space and the second refrigerator downstairs was perfect while we were down by the water. The outdoor furniture is very nice and comfortable. We were very impressed with how well everything is kept. We rented a pontoon for a couple of days allowing us to get out and enjoy the beauty of the entire lake and go to the sandbar for some great swimming. We loved taking the kayaks and paddle boat out at dust and dawn while the lake was calm and glassy. So peaceful. We found getting into the water from the shore pretty tricky with all the large rocks but the neighbor Tom was very nice in letting us use his frontage. Stairs with a railing off the dock or the shoreline would be ideal, especially for older people if the rocks are necessary to prevent erosion. But with that being said, in all of our years we have never stayed in a more friendly community. All of the neighbors are so amazing and inviting. Jerry, even invited us over to his "man cave" boat house to watch the game, etc. What a nice guy! Our daily walks were met with smiling faces and hellos. The "Secret Garden" at the bend in the road was so cute and fun to walk through. And the people of Central Lake itself are all so nice. We felt like a part of the community from the moment we pulled in the driveway. I would highly recommend visiting the Blue Pelican in Central Lake during your stay here. The outdoor tiki bar is so fun with live music and great service. This was our first family vacation without my dad. And we could not have asked for a better place. He would have love it. Thank you for a great stay."

  • Wonderful Weekend Getaway

"We stayed here as a girls' weekend and had a wonderful time. The place exceeded our expectations including its location right on Lake Michigan. Even though we stayed for a fall weekend we could see how perfect this place would be in summer for an extended family. The cottage has plenty of room for a larger group including a fun-filled game room and three full bathrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped with dining area for larger groups. It was also secluded enough to be relaxing, but close enough to Charlevoix and other towns for shopping and dining."
