  • Gorgeous Area!

"Just got back from a weeks stay. The area is gorgeous. Not far from Traverse City. House was clean and well pre-pared for our arrival. A couple bottles of wine as gifts were a nice surprise. There is a book put together to give you ideas on local attractions and such. We did struggle finding boat rentals but when I emailed Sarah she responded quickly. Adding boat rentals in the book would be nice. As well as local vets. We had to find a vet to take our dog. If you have kids, make sure you bring water shoes for sure. Lots of rocks in the water up until you hit the dock. After that is it very sandy. The water is shallow for a ways so its pretty kid friendly in that respect. No sandy beach. The weather this summer is extremely warm so even with the air conditioner running upstairs it was difficult to cool the downstairs. But under normal circumstances, this probably would not be an issue. Loved having the option of gas grill or charcoal. The upstairs deck has 2 sets of furniture so it seats many people. Downstairs patio has lots of chairs and a bar set up too. Great seating for the outdoor fire pit. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the area. It is a family friendly location and also very dog friendly. Thank you for offering your great cottage to us! Carolyn Pyret"

  • Definitely on the "return to" list

"I made arrangements for us and another couple to stay here for a long weekend, Fri-Mon. Pictures and all information looked complete and inviting. Some fear of the unknown was soon history and our expectations were definitely exceeded. We also had the bonus of fabulous and unseasonably warm weather weather each day. The condo was absolutely perfect, quiet and very well located for us. We all appreciated the decor, amenities, cleanliness, available and plentiful supplies, thick bath linens, comfortable beds and favorable rate. Our only regret was that we could not/did not stay longer. Carolyn was very thorough and responsive as was Lisa who provided us with keys and a walk through. We look forward future stays."

  • Great location, perfect accommodations.

"This property was perfect for our girl's getaway. We loved how the bedrooms were all on the upper level, so those of us that wanted more sleep could get it while the others visited downstairs. I don't think anymore than six would be comfortable; my husband stayed in the same condos for his guy's getaway and there were six of them as well and they were too crowded. The owner was very responsive and the rental process couldn't have been easier. There is only one parking spot near the property, but that wasn't an issue for us. We loved how close the property was to downtown; we could walk everywhere easily. The property was mostly clean, but there were some Cheerios on the floor and dust in some areas. I would suggest a clean paint job (or at least having the walls wiped down.) The mattress cover on one of the beds was also stained. None of this was a deal breaker for us, but I would want to know if I were the owner. No complaints whatsoever and we would definitely stay here again."

  • Vacation Get-a-way before the Winter snow sets in.

"My husband and I needed to get away for some peace and quite before the Michigan winter set in and we feel like we hit the jackpot! Bass Lake Lodge was very peaceful and quite and felt like home. We were surrounded by local friendly neighbors (our next door neighbor put the daily morning paper on our deck each morning , which my husband loved) We loved the new electric fire place that we could turn on with a click of the switch we had a perfect warm fire to drink our morning coffee with or at night we could have a romantic glass of wine while looking into the fireplace . We were lucky enough that the dock was still in and we took the lawn chairs down there to watch the sunrise each morning , life doesn't get any better then that.. We will be back each year.. The Bass Lake Lodge gave us the peace and quite we so needed.. and Jennifer, Patrick and Harley were a blast. We did daily trips and walks in the beautiful Traverse City area. The Bass Lake Lodge provided everything we needed to make our 9 day get a way a 5 star vacation Thank you Jennifer and Patrick"
