  • Beautiful lake view near Interlochen Center for the Arts

"One of our children was spending a week at Interlochen Center for the Arts, and we wanted to stay nearby and enjoy a vacation in the area. We needed a place that could accommodate our larger family, and this cottage was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, and close to Interlochen, Traverse City, and all the places we wanted to visit. Our kids loved swimming off the dock and playing basketball in the water (and we loved the fact they could enjoy the water without all the sand!). The owners were very professional and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area."

  • As advertised

"We drove up from Nashville, TN with our 3 boys (17/8/7) for the week as a family vacation. First thing they said upon arrival was "we're never leaving". First night they caught a few bass off the dock, like mentioned in the listing. We rented a boat for the week and moored it off the sandy beach. Rather than do the tourist thing in town, we just spent the whole week on the lake tubing, fishing, swimming, hitting the islands, and then campfires & smores at night. Met the neighbors and they're just wonderful people. The cottage was comfortable with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The owner was very helpful and communicated all info to us effectively. Everything worked properly at the cottage and the pictures/descriptions posted here are accurate. Well, no picture can do justice to summer sunsets on the lake here. We absolutely loved our time and hope to be back."

  • Gorgeous Area!

"Just got back from a weeks stay. The area is gorgeous. Not far from Traverse City. House was clean and well pre-pared for our arrival. A couple bottles of wine as gifts were a nice surprise. There is a book put together to give you ideas on local attractions and such. We did struggle finding boat rentals but when I emailed Sarah she responded quickly. Adding boat rentals in the book would be nice. As well as local vets. We had to find a vet to take our dog. If you have kids, make sure you bring water shoes for sure. Lots of rocks in the water up until you hit the dock. After that is it very sandy. The water is shallow for a ways so its pretty kid friendly in that respect. No sandy beach. The weather this summer is extremely warm so even with the air conditioner running upstairs it was difficult to cool the downstairs. But under normal circumstances, this probably would not be an issue. Loved having the option of gas grill or charcoal. The upstairs deck has 2 sets of furniture so it seats many people. Downstairs patio has lots of chairs and a bar set up too. Great seating for the outdoor fire pit. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the area. It is a family friendly location and also very dog friendly. Thank you for offering your great cottage to us! Carolyn Pyret"
