  • Very Comfortable and Clean !

"We spent an extended Labor Day weekend at this condo. The weather was picture perfect which just made our stay here even better. Condo was very clean , beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked ( missed my Sudoku knife!) , extra toilet paper and paper towel , dishwasher /dish soap provided as well as laundry soap. Plenty of thick dish towels were appreciated. We liked being on the 3rd floor, close to elevator (luggage cart available to use) ,the great view, having a smaller size gas grill, washer and dryer, and a cute balcony to enjoy morning coffee. This condo has a boat slip for a nominal fee and free trailer storage 1/4 mile away. No walleyes to be found but huge small mouth bass and pike were caught during our stay. We never left the south arm, plenty of space for boating and fishing away from the hustle and bustle of the main lake. Family Fare less than a mile away although, unlike Charlevoix and Boyne City, this location does not have a deli or bakery. We liked being centrally located between the "busyness" of Charlevoix and Boyne City. Great burgers at 'The Landing' in Ironton (approx. 8 miles) and beautiful Lake Michigan beach access (easy) at Fisherman's Island State Park, just south of Charlevoix. Internet very important to us and we never lost a signal or had any trouble connecting. Don was very prompt in responding to emails and phone calls; a pleasure to work with ."

  • Perfect Location For Exploring NW Michigan

"If you want to explore all the beauty of NW Michigan, the Beulah Chalet is the perfect home base. We have been visiting various locals in NW MI over the past 8 or so years. This chalet puts you right smack in the middle of where you want to be. As for the Chalet, we enjoyed time on the quite deck and family time around the campfire in the evenings. If you’ve not been north, the stars are amazing! One of my favorite things was sitting on the deck in evening and staring at the amazing night sky illuminated by the countless stars. And, yes you will see shooting stars for sure. The chalet has plenty of space for all and a great stocked kitchen. The town of Frankfort is on the opposite side of Crystal Lake, what a gem. We spent considerable time in and around Frankfort. It has a great craft brewery called StormCloud; check it out you; will not be disappointed. And Frankfort has the best beach we’ve yet to experience. Don’t forget to check out Crystal Lake. We rented a pontoon at the local marina to cruise around the lake. Other close and fun activities: - Sleeping Bear Dunes (20 minutes away). One of the coolest things you’ll ever experience. - Winery tours. Trust me one’s more beautiful than the next. - Fishing charter - Traverse City (25 minutes away) - Sun set at Betsey Light House (10 minutes away). Don’t miss at least one sun set there. Chris, the owner, is a gracious host. Thanks for sharing your slice of NW Michigan!"
