  • Perfect Location

"It was our sister and brother-in-law's first visit to Michigan. It was the perfect location for our travels and the cabin was very cozy. Sunsets were beautiful."

  • Beautiful Setting

"We loved our stay at the Betsie River Lodge. The home was immaculate, had very comfortable furnishings and a well appointed kitchen. The scenery was spectacular, what a lovely secluded area. It was delightful to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while sitting along the banks of the Betsie River. I would certainly recommend staying at the Betsie River Lodge."

  • The property is wonderful..

"This is such a wonderful quiet, relaxing, and very clean place to stay. We were there for a cousin's weekend, and everyone loved the house, and how clean it was, the beds were comfortable, and was able to sit around and talk and not have to sit on two beds at a hotel room. The girls all want to go back again next year. The weather didn't cooperate, so we were not able to enjoy the decks or have a bon fire. We had snow in May, but than that's Pure Michigan. Kurt and Tammy are wonderful to work with too. If you have a issue with anything, they are right there to fix it."

  • Beautiful property!!!

"This is such a great location on Crystal Lake!!! Can't wait for an opportunity to return for another stay! Our family had such a nice week at the Waterfront Cabin! The owner was friendly and good to work with. We loved the private nature of the yard leading to the lake. It is nestled within trees along each side of the property so even though there are neighbors right next door you don't see them. All you see is the beauty of Crystal Lake. There is a nice sandy beach area and the water is so "crystal" clear. Gorgeous!!! We enjoyed their long dock and spent a lot of time kayaking on the lake. A really nice aspect of the dock is their swim deck which adds extra space for sitting out on the water and more hours of sunshine. This was an especially great spot for my 86 yr old mom to hang out and be close by the rest of us enjoying water activities. Loved how the yard had a couple little areas along the waterfront with table and chairs--cozy sitting spaces. We also enjoyed the screened-in porch and the comfortable adirondack chairs for peaceful, quiet evenings of just taking in the beauty. There is a nice fire pit with large stumps for seating around the fire. Enjoyed a fire most every night. There is a large wood pile along the back side of the cabin--very nice of the owners to provide this. NOTE! Be very aware and careful if you forage for kindling--there is poison ivy under the trees on the edges of the property. No problem though if you stay in the yard. The cabin is rustic but nice. Could use a bit more counter space in the kitchen. There is a handy and clever space / rods for hanging lots of beach towels on the back deck's privacy fence. We had a little issue on our arrival but the owner was very responsive and attended to it quickly. There is a very nice rails-to-trails bike path close to the property; one direction takes you in to Beulah and the other direction to Frankfort. Enjoyed having this close by to bike. Lake Michigan is only about 5 miles away with a short drive over to Frankfort. Doubt you'll find a better location on Crystal Lake!! We will definitely be back."
