  • Great Holiday Get Away

"This wonderful home is the perfect venue for hosting a large family or group event in Saugatuck. Accompanied by cheerful cracking of fire in the fireplace, we were able to host family meals and holiday gatherings with friends and family. Simply put, it was fantastic! And, following checkout, when we realized a watch had been forgotten by one of our party, Ken helped arrange a speedy recovery and handoff. Much appreciated effort and follow through. We wholeheartedly recommend the home. And, look forward to returning in the future."

  • Excellent location for a family getaway

"We are a family of five including three teenagers ranging from 5'4" to 6'3". We've learned that renting a home is more comfortable and affordable than two rooms or a suite at a hotel or resort. For our trip to Leelanau area, Cedar Cabin was the perfect accommodation. Four bedrooms, a master suite and wireless broadband ensured all had a getaway spot when needed. Everything was functional, well maintained and clean for our arrival. All linens are included and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverwear. The cupboards included a shelf of interesting spices, and above the coffee maker the fixin's for the morning's brew. We left some coffee beans for the next guests. Hint: use the hand grinder for a more even grind! The cabin is located about half way between Cedar, Glen Arbor and Leland ensuring civilization was less than 30 mins away. We spend a day climbing sleeping bear dunes (30 min drive), another kayaking the Platte (40 min drive) and a couple more exploring the parks, lighthouses and wineries of Mission and Leelanau peninsulas. Each was a comfortable day trip allowing for lazy mornings and return for sunset. Speaking of sunset: The deck is guarded by a gargoyle we named "Hank", and offers spectacular views of Little Traverse Lake and Lake Michigan featuring North Manitou Island. We even caught the kids sneaking out to the deck to enjoy the view without the lure of s'mores at the fire pit. If circumstances permit would we return? Absolutely!"

  • Worked Well for Family of 4

"We stayed here for 2 nights while touring Michigan, This was the perfect stop after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and driving through the beautiful "Tunnel of Trees". The accommodations were very nice and had direct access to an excellent beach on Lake Michigan. Our 2 daughters ages 11 & 13 loved swimming in the lake and spotting deer. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious with fantastic sunset views. The next day we visited Mackinac Island and returned to the cabin. We were so glad to stay here with 2 bedrooms instead of the more commercialized areas of Mackinaw City."

  • Fantastic property with beach access

"Our family of 6 rented this property for a week in Southwestern Michigan and thoroughly enjoyed it. The home is immaculate and clearly well cared for. There are three bedrooms and it sleeps six easily. One room has twin beds, one a double (full) bed, and the master has a queen size bed with plenty of room for an air mattress or a pack-n-play. We had an out of town visitor who came with us and she slept on a queen sized air mattress in the master bedroom with no problem. There are two full baths and one has a tub. If you have little ones, that's likely a bonus for you. The downstairs has a lovely powder room/laundry room area off of the kitchen as well. The floor plan is totally open downstairs. There is a living room that opens to a dining room and both are well suited for up to 6 people. The kitchen is serviceable for making your own meals and there's a very nice sun room that overlooks the back yard. The back yard isn't huge, but large enough for us to set up our bags (corn hole) game. There's a cute deck off of the sun room that overlooks the back yard and we enjoyed morning coffee there. The beach access is a 5 minute walk away with a lengthy set of stairs that descends to a narrow private beach. Overall, we didn't use the beach much because it's really so incredibly rocky. We found ourselves spending a couple of days in St Joe at Silver Beach in lieu of using our beach. The home is close to berry-picking (if you're there at the right time of year), Paw Paw Lake, Lake Michigan, and many wineries. The location is very good. Our contact for the property always responded promptly and was easy to interact with. It was a very simple transaction. This house is not your typical beat up rental property. It's really very, very nice. I'd buy this house. :)"
