  • Spacious and Beautiful Home

"My sisters and I plan a 3 day weekend get away every year and this year we stayed at Lin's house in Interlochen. The house is beautifully decorated! It is cozy and warm and had that cheery cottage-like feel to it. It is extremely spacious! We loved it for so many reasons. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor so 3 of my sisters had their own rooms. The downstairs is like having another little apartment. There was another bedroom down there with a king bed where me and my other sister slept with more than enough room for us to spread out. Unfortunately it pretty much rained all weekend otherwise we would have totally utilized the back deck and the fire pit. There are 2 big bathrooms which was a huge plus with 5 woman having to get ready in the morning. Everything in the house was spotless and extremely clean. The pictures that Lin has posted on this site are exactly what you get with the exception that the house is bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. Being the girls that we are...we spent our days in Traverse City and Sutton's Bay shopping till we dropped. We wanted to go to Glen Arbor and Fishtown, but ran out of time. The first night we went to Hofbrau for dinner which was about 10 minutes from the house. Loved it there!! The food and drinks were great! Loved the atmosphere there and we had a fantastic waiter....his name was Ray! We were laughing and being goofy and he was playing right along with us We had a blast! We never made it to Bud's restaurant, but heard that they were really good too! Lin was a complete joy to work with! She made sure that if there were any problems or if we needed anything that we had her number and knew that we could get ahold of her. She made a point to call me to make sure that we got there and that everything was to our liking. I know now why her house was so cheery and uplifting, that is Lin! Extremely helpful, wants nothing more than for you to have a great time at her place, she is a joy to talk to! She was very helpful with any questions I had and when I asked her about things to do she was more than happy to give me suggestions and ideas. My sisters and I thank you so much Lin for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, for being so generous and understanding of our arrival and departure and for being so wonderful with our stay there. We've been renting homes from Homeaway for several years now and this was definitely one of our BEST experiences! We would LOVE to come back and stay again!"

  • Wonderful spot

"We thoroughly enjoyed our brief time at Laura's comfortable and well-appointed lake house. Laura was also extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and generous with thoughtful information about local activities and answering additional questions. Many thanks!"

  • A Taste of Heaven!

"The DreamCatcher has everything anyone could possibly want or need and more! Fantastic setting overlooking the Bay, beautiful sunrises to watch and countless stars to see at night while having a fire in a big fire pit. All the wood is provided and nice outdoor furniture to sit on while enjoying the fire. There's a huge front porch with a big table for playing games or eating or just enjoying the view of the water. All the linens are furnished and they are wonderful! All the linens are of the highest quality which is unusual for a cottage. These are beautiful! The beds are very comfortable and again the bedding is so clean and of great quality. You really don't have to bring anything from home except your clothes and toiletries. Everything else is there for you to use. Shampoo, soap, dish washer detergent, laundry detergent. Great Oster toaster and Cuisinart coffee maker, microwave and charcoal grill and lots of games and a big screen TV. Suttons Bay is such a quaint down town and only about a mile and a half from the DreamCatcher. Cute shops and good restaurants. LOTS of wineries to tour near by and only a couple of miles from a really nice casino. SO many great things to do we needed to stay longer. It's the quietest, most beautiful place ever and it definitely is a "taste of heaven" It's WONDERFUL and Harry is the greatest!"

  • Beautiful and peaceful

"We have stayed here twice now. our first time was last June. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book again in the winter for skiing, which also did not disappoint. The home is clean, well appointed and laid out in a way that was fun for all of us. The home has kind of a vintage theme with 60s magazines, vintage movie DVDs, and vinyl records with a turntable. Very fun! There were also games for the kids and a pool and ping pong table. In June the weather was surprisingly warm as was the water (well the water was not warm, just not as cold as we expected;). The home is on a bluff, so there is a very large stairway with an observation deck, down to the beach area. Great sunsets and views from the stairway deck. There were 10 of us and we all had plenty of room. It was a very peaceful family vacation. For skiing the home was cozy and the drive to the slopes was pretty quick 15-20 depending on conditions. There were only two of us on this trip, I did mention cozy right? ;)"
