  • Relaxing & Peaceful!

"This was our second visit to Sauble Point Farmhouse! Our family of 5 plus two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the farm. The lake was incredibly quiet! We brought our own kayaks and explored all 4 of the Sauble Lakes. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and paddle boat catching blue gill, bass and perch. We also brought ATVs and rode to nearby ORV trails. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing vacation. We would definitely return for a third trip."

  • Awesome Little Cottage

"We spent Labor Day weekend at this cottage and had a great time! We made last-minute plans, and Tim was very accommodating and made it work. Everything we needed was supplied--all kitchen utensils, bedding, bath towels, firewood, etc., and many kitchen supplies (salt & pepper, paper plates, etc.). We've stayed in 7-8 different cottages now in the last few years, and this is our favorite so far. It was perfect size for the four of us. The cottage was very nice inside, completely remodeled recently, and everything was very clean. We even remarked how clean it smelled when we walked in. The lake itself was busy, but it WAS a holiday weekend. Our kids had fun taking the paddle boat out and swimming from it. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with a small group, this cottage would be perfect. We are hoping to go back summer 2017 or '18!"

  • The stay was great!

"The place we stayed in was very well taken care of. It was a good halfway point between traverse city and a lot of the places around the upper part of Michigan, such as Leland and Suttons Bay. Bill was great, he greeted us in person when we got there, he had all sorts of good information for things to do around the place. He directed us to a terrific restaurant in Leland call The Cove, which was terrific. He also had some great suggestions as for Wineries to try out on the way up to the old mission lighthouse, along with a lot of additional things to check out while around Traverse city. For people with bikes, there's a really nice paved trail that runs very close to the property. The only reason I knocked off a star (if I could, I'd only knock off half a star) is because of the internet. We were a little disappointed by the fact that the internet didn't work. Bill did explain that they were installing fiber optic in the area and that was impacting the internet service, so I understand there wasn't much he could do. There was cable to occupy the evenings, but still it was a bit disappointing. With the internet, it would have been perfect! Thanks again for everything Bill!"

  • Most Excellent Adventure

"This was our first trip to Michigan, but it won't be our last. To start with, John our host, was excellent. He was there to meet us, in the pouring rain, even though we were several hours later than expected, due to traffic. He knew all the answers to all our crazy questions about where to go and what to do. There were 4 adults in our group and the house was more then sufficient in size to accommodate all of us. The house is very well maintained and the kitchen had everything that we needed plus. This has not always been the case in rental homes that we have gone to. Other than there being no salt water, this Jersey family thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the area, mostly Glen Arbor down through Empire and a little in Traverse City. It was a joy to come home every night to a very well kept home and relax with a movie on the giant tv. Time didn't allow us to use the fire pit, but the gas grill was a great plus for cooking after a day out exploring, hiking and kayaking."
