Oceana County vacation rentals

We mainly picked this cottage because it’s close to my brothers, and that worked so well. Love the location between Lake Michigan and the sand dunes. The cottage was clean, cozy, and comfortable.

The property and location were both 10s. Communications with the owner was very easy and they were very responsive. All the furnishings were the best that I have had in a VRBO. We lacked for nothing during our stay. Everything we needed was furnished and of the best quality. The sunset views from the deck were outstanding and it was just a short walk to the beach. Our stay was one of the most enjoyable that we've had.

This location checked all the boxes! The layout was perfect for our family. We loved the location. Spent some time out in Silver Lake Sand Dunes and shopping in Pentwater. Plenty of parking for everyone too! We saw bald eagles flying around everyday. So beautiful. The sunsets were amazing. We would definitely love to return someday.

Lovely house with lots of room inside and out. We were there with three trucks and trailers carrying side-by-sides to ride the dunes. Plenty of parking. Will rent again.

This home was nicely located in a remote, woodsy area. It was clean and modern and only six miles from the Hart-Montague bike trail we rode on two days. I would recommend.

Property is beautiful! Home was clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of outdoor activities such as floats, sand toys, kayaks, bonfire ring, etc. Only real downside is if the surrounding properties are rented out it is busy, with no privacy and parking is very tight (like climbing through the back of the Tahoe to get in the drivers seat tight). We brought 3 larger vehicles and a boat which we cleared with the owner, but the individuals of the other properties expressed annoyance about the boat, which we all decided we definitely would not bring again. Communication with owner was excellent, he was very responsive, helpful, and kind.

The house was very nice, we had everything we needed. Beach is .5 miles down the road, and since lake levels are so high, you’re likely to visit that beach a few times and then go find another one. The house is set back a couple blocks off the road, in a quiet area with no traffic. Loved the combination pad access, no housekey to lose! Mears/Silver Lake area had plenty to do for teenagers, and we only had 3 days. Tip: stop for groceries off Highway 31, as there are only glorified quickmarts in closer to the shore. We took dune buggy rides, rented kayaks and sand boards, ate at Golden Sands golfcourse ( outdoor tents and great pizza), and of course, Whippy Dip. Mears area beaches are so calm and shallow, we loved it. Thank you.
