  • Adorable house with perfect layout for a large group of 8-9 people. Ideal setting.

"We had a wonderful week at the Happy Shack. The house is well appointed, spacious, very clean, and....happy! Our group consisted of family from East coast, West coast, & Florida, with 4 adults and 4 teenagers - everyone was comfortable and had an awesome time. The kayaks got a lot of use, as did the floating rafts, and the hammock. The grocery in Brooklyn is convenient, and Adams Farm in Liberty is fantastic for produce. The Happy Shack provides everything you need for a fun, relaxing week. And it's worth mentioning that the acoustics are exceptional! The nights when some of us stayed up late celebrating, the Sleepyheads who went to bed early didn't hear a sound from their bedrooms. We decided to rent the pontoon boat on our last day and it was perfect. The owner was very accommodating in letting us do this at the last minute, but it's good to know that you can rent it for $100/day if you don't want it for the whole week. Overall, it was one of our best family vacations ever and we've decided to do it again every year from now on. We created a lot of happy memories in the Happy Shack. :)"

  • Very secluded and relaxing!

"The property was amazing. It was very secluded and you could not really see the homes of neighbors while on the property. All of the other homes seemed pretty close together, but this one had plenty of space and shade. Which was nice because we had plenty of room for outdoor activities. The home was very large and perfect for adults and children of all ages. The kitchen was nice and had everything that we needed to prepare meals while there. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and catching fish off the dock. They actually got some pretty big ones. The owner of this rental was very easy to work with as well. He answered all of my questions and I talked to him numerous times before our stay. We lost power on the first night there for a couple hours and he returned our call late at night to let us know who the power company was and we were the first to report the outage. It was only off for a couple hours. He then called me the next morning to apologize for the inconvenience (though it was clearly not his fault) and make sure that it got turned back on and everything was okay. Would definitely recommend this property, especially for larger families who want a relaxing and secluded stay!"

  • Awesome

"Awesome property! The owners made it easy on us by having pretty much everything we needed. We had a great girls trip and had perfect weather to enjoy the water. Which was easy to access and shallow to get it.:). Trying to plan a trip for this summer!"
