  • Cozy cottage with wonderful view of Lake Huron!

"We had a wonderful stay at Coqui Cottage!! The Christmas tree & festive decorations provided by Marlene & Jim just added to the cozy, homey feel of the place. It was clean, nicely decorated, well-maintained & had a fully equipped modern kitchen. The owners were super nice; answered all our questions promptly & provided info on local attractions. The terrific lake view was an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this listing to our family/friends & hope to return there ourselves sometime."

  • Hospitality and kindness

"We so appreciated the attentiveness of our hosts. Maxine welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the home. She was welcoming and offered information to make our stay comfortable. The home was very clean and well equipped. The kitchen included all items necessary to prepare our meals and I especially appreciated having a crock-pot. The linens were high quality and the availability of a washer/dryer was helpful. We look forward to staying here again and we were so appreciate of the accommadations made by our hosts for our family's needs."

  • Would be good for traveling families

"This was a nice place, the kitchen is very updated and also the 3 bedrooms. The bonus room with two bed is pre-renovation but allows for additional sleeping. Dining area also allows for a larger family gathering. Not far from the Detroit Zoo. We used it for business training trip for employees of The Great Escape Room (in Royal Oak) and it was nice to have everyone in one place instead of in separate hotel rooms. We would book this home again."

  • Beautiful setting

"My big family had a great time here. The lake and huge willow tree are beautiful. We were thrilled to use the 2 kayaks to explore the lake and check out the islands and marshes. The house came fully equipped with most things we needed. There were tons of linens and towels, even beach towels. I think there was even an air mattress in the closet. The kitchen has a lot of things but we brought plastic ware out of convenience. The house itself is very nice and they were in the process of updating things as well. We loved the master bedroom with private balcony/ lake view. Even the smaller bedroom on the front side of the house had a small lake view because the lake wraps around the house. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Neighbors were all super friendly. Houses are close together but once you are in the house and back yard it is very spacious and private. The owners live right next door, but it wasn't awkward at all. They totally left us alone and we didn't feel like we were being monitored at all. They are extremely easy going and easy to work with. We called about a propane refill for the BBQ when we got there. They weren't home at the time, but brought us a new tank and cleaned the grill for us within two hours. Great location between Howell and Brighton. Both nice towns. Would love to go back again next year!"
