  • Rebooked as soon as we could!

"Halfway through out week stay we starting inquiring about re-booking for next year. We are two families: Four parents and 3 kids aged 8,6 and 4. Kids loved it. Parents cherished it. And everything was as smooth as it could be thanks to the availability and courtesy of the owners. House: Everything you need and very clean. This is the owner's regular home and it is treated as such. There is more to it than what's listed: There are two family rooms which is huge if you want to watch the Olympics while the kids watch a Disney flick. In addition to the kitchen table, there is a nice game table for Yahtzee, uno and candyland games. The deck and patio are spacious and have nice tables. Whole yard is in your view from the grill. Thus, you can play whiffle ball while manning the grill so that mommy can take a nap after a day at the beach. Winning!! Beach: Stairs down are solid. No problems for the 4 year old. Even tho there was a shrinking of the beach the last two years along the shoreline on the east side of Lake Michigan, this property had plenty of space for whiffle ball, badminton and paddle ball. We were completely by ourselves Monday - Friday. it's clean, no bugs, no rocks (that can change over the winter), nice sand bar. Neighbors we did meet on the weekend were beyond nice and friendly. Location: You are secluded yet close to everything you could want. DiMaggio's pizza 4 minutes away. Downtown St. Joe is 8 minutes away. Pipestone (shopping, movie theater, kids museum, go karts, putt-putt) is 20 minutes away. Truckers burger, keno and cocktails at an authentic Michigan bar 2 minutes away (Riverside Cafe). Convenience and security: When you are on the deck cocktailing or running the grill, you can see both living rooms. Kids are always in your line of sight. Same goes for the yard. Makes it real easy to be responsible while relaxing. 40 yards to stairs directly down to beach. Takes a minute. 2 minutes if you got the four year old and a cooler. Should someone wish to stay upstairs, cheap walkie talkies work great if you want someone to bring something down to the beach or alert someone that a child is going up. We've rented 6 different places over the years. We will rent this until then say it is no longer available."

  • Modern and updated

"We came with a group of 10 adults and 2 young children for the NYE weekend. The home has been updated in all the perfect ways. A large, modern kitchen flows into a dining room and living room with unobstructed views of the lake that allowes for space to spread out, but also keep the group together. 3 br on the main level with 1 1/2 baths balance nicely with 2 additional br and anoter full bath on the lower level. There's also another living room on the lower level that allows for some space during those winter months when outdoors aren't as accessible during the stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our holiday. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home."

  • What an amazing property!

"We celebrated my 40th birthday at your fabulous home. 12 girls, so much space, the amount of bathrooms is a huge plus! We had everything we needed to be comfortable and cook all weekend. We will definitely be back!"

  • Excellent vacation rental!

"This house is terrific, tons of space to spread out and get off by yourself or group together, very easy to kick back and relax. There are lots of sleeping options and bathrooms, we had a big group and it was nice to have a house that holds a big number of people. Really comfortable beds. Wife commented there were lots of dishes and silverware, sometimes owners expect you to bring your own or use disposable. Owners were very easy to work with, responded really fast to our questions. We spent a lot of our time just hanging out, especially on the sun porch and around the fire pit and saw some awesome sunsets. Some of our group golfed nearby at Harbor Shores course, said it was pretty tricky."
