  • Fantastic property with beach access

"Our family of 6 rented this property for a week in Southwestern Michigan and thoroughly enjoyed it. The home is immaculate and clearly well cared for. There are three bedrooms and it sleeps six easily. One room has twin beds, one a double (full) bed, and the master has a queen size bed with plenty of room for an air mattress or a pack-n-play. We had an out of town visitor who came with us and she slept on a queen sized air mattress in the master bedroom with no problem. There are two full baths and one has a tub. If you have little ones, that's likely a bonus for you. The downstairs has a lovely powder room/laundry room area off of the kitchen as well. The floor plan is totally open downstairs. There is a living room that opens to a dining room and both are well suited for up to 6 people. The kitchen is serviceable for making your own meals and there's a very nice sun room that overlooks the back yard. The back yard isn't huge, but large enough for us to set up our bags (corn hole) game. There's a cute deck off of the sun room that overlooks the back yard and we enjoyed morning coffee there. The beach access is a 5 minute walk away with a lengthy set of stairs that descends to a narrow private beach. Overall, we didn't use the beach much because it's really so incredibly rocky. We found ourselves spending a couple of days in St Joe at Silver Beach in lieu of using our beach. The home is close to berry-picking (if you're there at the right time of year), Paw Paw Lake, Lake Michigan, and many wineries. The location is very good. Our contact for the property always responded promptly and was easy to interact with. It was a very simple transaction. This house is not your typical beat up rental property. It's really very, very nice. I'd buy this house. :)"

  • Jim, Missy and kids!

"We have stayed at this house in the Summer of 2015 and 2016. It is so nice inside. Way more room on the inside from what the outside looks like. The owner is very nice and helpful. Our kids had a blast. They are asking if we are going to the lake house again. It's all they talk about, who knew you don't have to go to FL or south, haha!! The inside floorplan is perfect for having visitors up for the day. With the open concept on the main level and upper level it provides plenty of space for the adults and kids. The appliances, counters and bathrooms are all updated. The screened in gazebo comes in so handy for the rainy days! The cabin is also in a perfect spot on the lake, low high speed boat traffic so the kids can swim, enjoy the paddle boat and fish. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishware that you would need. Plenty of outdoor chairs and loungers are provided. We love this little lake house and so do our kids! Thanks Ed!"

  • The property was terrific, very pretty and clean. It was a great neighborhood.

"The only negative was that it took over two weeks for the refundable deposit to be returned. However, it did get returned and all was good. We are definitely using vacation rentals again!"

  • Good house---very close to private beach

"My family and I were very happy with our stay at this property. It is a very short walk to a private beach (which is what my family cares the most about). In addition, you are a very short walk to Warren Dunes State Park. For the price you cannot find a better location with private beach access. The house was rustic but had a nice porch where you can see and hear the water. In addition, it has a nice screened in porch where you can see the water as well. We had 7 people (6 adults and 1 two year old) and it was enough room for us (especially, since we were either on the beach or on the porch). My only complaints is that I was charged $150 for the cleaning of a 1000 square foot cottage. I know cleaning fees are standard but this is the highest I have paid and have stayed in bigger places. The place was a little dirty. Cob webs and dust was all over the place. This wouldn't be so bad but my two year old has asthma and it acted up a little bit in the cottage. The lamps shades are really old and really dirty. Finally, the porch has a rail but their is a 3 foot gap from the floor of the porch to the bottom of the rail. My two year old could walk right underneath the rail and fall 12 feet. I was on edge the whole weekend with my daughter being on the porch. If you do not have young children then this will not be a problem for you. We would stay here again. The positive way out weigh any negatives. Brad Indianapolis, IN"
