  • Great place to get away!

"This is a great place to get away from it all. It's very secluded from the neighbors. The home and yard are very spacious. It was great to have a gas grill as we ate all our meals at the cabin. The fire pit near the lake is also an added bonus. The lake is beautiful and quiet. Unfortunately, there is no swimming off the dock because of Lilly pads, but there is a paddle boat offered, so we took that out to the swimming pad. Sandy was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. Would definitely consider returning!"

  • Shingobee Family Rwuniont

"This was our third time renting the cabin. We love Shingobee Bay, having spent a lot of family time there since the 1960s. The lake is beautiful. The bike trails are the best anywhere, right outside your door. The cabin is extremely comfortable with a fire pit in the yard overlooking the lake. We made good use of the basement TV room for movies at night. Kitchen is fully equipped. Dock and swim platform are great for warm summer days. Thank you so much."

  • Great Cabin

"This is my third year renting this cabin. It is well maintained and for northern Minnesota a few luxuries like wi if and satellite tv. Not right on the lake but up on a hill with the Paul Bunyon trail below and glimpses of the lake from your big front deck. Beautiful trees surround you. It will not disappoint !"

  • 3 generation vacation

"We just returned from a wonderful week at this lake home. Everyone (12 of us, ages 3-69) fished and swam and tubed and just enjoyed our time together. The fishing was great! Bass, crappies, walleye and sunnies. Our youngest granddaughter caught her first fish ever and a grandson caught his biggest crappie ever, 12 inches! We enjoyed the beach and the shallow walk into the lake. The older kids loved the paddle boat and swimming dock. The house itself has lots of areas for the kids to explore and play in so it never seemed crowded. Great flat yard, lots of big trees for nice shade. Huge deck with 3 tables and lots of chairs. 3 refrigerators and the close town made suppers easy. If you have kids, don't miss the kids fishing contest in Hackensack. We saw deer, eagles and many loons. We are booking again for next year"
