  • Quaint little cottage was perfection!

"This quaint little cottage was a perfect trip for our family of four in late July. The cottage, just a short but steep climb from Lake Michigan, was the perfect respite from city life. Our kids, ages 8 and 3, loved the beach and we spent most of our time swimming and just hanging out as a family in the sand. We almost forgot it was a lake, the water was so warm and clear. The cottage itself boasted of a beautiful screened in porch that has the tranquility to rival a spa experience. The outdoor shower was one of my favorite experiences and we never set foot in the indoor shower because it was so enjoyable. All of the amenities worked great including the wifi and small tv/DVD player. Judy truly has made the cottage feel homey and stopped in to ensure we were doing well a few times during the stay. The eating in both St Joe and South Haven made the trip absolutely perfect. I 100% recommend Judy and the cottage...we will be back in many years to come!"

  • Nice comfortable home in a good location.

"The home was clean and neat and stocked with what we needed. I rented this home for our family of 6 to be close to our nephew's wedding venue. It provided the space we needed and we were very comfortable. I really wanted a home with 2 bathrooms and they were both very up to date. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the property and yard. It was well located near St. Joseph and the rental homes of the rest of the family. The owner was very prompt with all communications. He gave very good and clear instructions about the home. We really enjoyed the area and hope to get back."

"Great updated home, pictures are great but don't do it justice, steps from what feels like a private beach, definitely would like to stay again.."

  • Fantastic property with beach access

"Our family of 6 rented this property for a week in Southwestern Michigan and thoroughly enjoyed it. The home is immaculate and clearly well cared for. There are three bedrooms and it sleeps six easily. One room has twin beds, one a double (full) bed, and the master has a queen size bed with plenty of room for an air mattress or a pack-n-play. We had an out of town visitor who came with us and she slept on a queen sized air mattress in the master bedroom with no problem. There are two full baths and one has a tub. If you have little ones, that's likely a bonus for you. The downstairs has a lovely powder room/laundry room area off of the kitchen as well. The floor plan is totally open downstairs. There is a living room that opens to a dining room and both are well suited for up to 6 people. The kitchen is serviceable for making your own meals and there's a very nice sun room that overlooks the back yard. The back yard isn't huge, but large enough for us to set up our bags (corn hole) game. There's a cute deck off of the sun room that overlooks the back yard and we enjoyed morning coffee there. The beach access is a 5 minute walk away with a lengthy set of stairs that descends to a narrow private beach. Overall, we didn't use the beach much because it's really so incredibly rocky. We found ourselves spending a couple of days in St Joe at Silver Beach in lieu of using our beach. The home is close to berry-picking (if you're there at the right time of year), Paw Paw Lake, Lake Michigan, and many wineries. The location is very good. Our contact for the property always responded promptly and was easy to interact with. It was a very simple transaction. This house is not your typical beat up rental property. It's really very, very nice. I'd buy this house. :)"
