  • Family Gathering!

"We came to South Bend for a family wedding at the Basilica and wanted a place large enough to host our adult children and spouses as well as us. Well, this definitely fit the bill! We have rented homes before for other out of town events and as our children repeatedly told us over the weekend - we outdid ourselves with this one! The furnishings are top of the line and the decorating was exquisite. It is within walking distance to the ND stadium and the Joyce Center where the wedding reception was held. There were 12 of us and at no time did we feel cramped. Brigid was great to work with and couldn't be sweeter. We hope to be able to have another family get together here soon. You will not be disappointed if you are fortunate enough to stay here."

  • Best Family Vacation - Ever!! Amazing accommodations and setting!

"We brought our family, kids and grands- 15 of us! Rented both houses- super convenient and great accommodations. The lake was beautiful, we rented a pontoon, went tubing and skiing- a very friendly place and not overrun with boats. We had campfires at night, guys golfed and there's an Ice cream shop out the back door!! Highly recommend the location and the houses are well kept, the one was newly remodeled- very nice! Plenty of rroom and lots to do! And we brought the dogs too!"

  • 5th Year of Making Family Memories!!!

"Our family has now stayed at the "Redhouse" for 5 years and we plan to return again next summer. The owners, Ted and Brenda, whom we finally got to met in person this year, are wonderful people. Their hard work and vision guarantee that you will not be disappointed should you be lucky enough to get to spend time at the property. The Redhouse has so many things to offer that we never seem to be able to do it all. Here is just a short list of our activities from this year: boating, rafting, fishing, swimming, camp fires, billiards, corn-hole, foosball, ping-pong, board games, puzzles, croquet, bike riding, hiking, basketball, swinging and playground, movie night, and my favorite... Coffee and breakfast on the back porch while over looking the lake. The fishing was a record year for us, catching mainly largemouth bass, sunfish and bluegills. There is something there for everyone, so much so, that we only go out to eat once during the week, which means we are spending most of our time together catching up and playing games. Another great feature is that the house is at the end of the street, so you feel very secluded and the kids have plenty of room to run around safely. All said, the house is perfect for large families or groups that want to spend time quality time together."

  • Quite Comfortable

"This house lacks nothing. We rented a pontoon and they quickly accommodated the pier space and bumpers. There were about 35 of my family members down the street at another resort. It was a nice walk, boat ride, car ride over to visit. The whole week was wonderful being with my family and my new granddaughter. The deck gets plenty of sun, and with the beach a few steps away, take a nice swim out to the raft. I will be back. The owners are just really good people. All the best."
