  • Making Memories

"Our family had such a wonderful time at Stone Lake. We had 20 staying in the main house, and everyone had a comfortable bed, a quiet place to read, plenty of hot water for showers, and a seat at the table for breakfast and dinner. We also rented the cabin, which I would recommend if you plan to spend time at the beach. It was nice to have the refrigerator and bathroom close, and we could put little ones down to nap as we sat on the porch swing and watched the others fish off the dock. The highlight of our week was the kayaks. It was a race every night to watch the sunset over the lake...some in the pontoon boat, sipping wine and enjoying appetizers, and others kayaking out to find the best view. Then back to the cabin for s'mores over the bonfire, board games around the dining room table, or pool/ping pong/foosball competition in the game room. Ted was great! So responsive to every question or concern. We took two day to South Haven and one to St. Joe, which are less than an hour away. (St. Joe was the favorite.) We had four dinners and four breakfasts prepared by Sherrie at Porky's. A five minute drive from the house, always ready when we arrived, reasonable prices and good food. All in all, a very memorable family time for us. But I'm sorry to say there may not be any fireflies left....because I think our little ones may have caught them all! (We also brought our little dog, who tells me she had wonderful time and would gladly recommend the house to other pups.)"

  • Fun lake house

"16 of our family members gathered at the lake house for a fun week on Stone Lake. The home is very well designed, decorated, and equipped with most everything you could possibly want/need. Although one family member brought his power boat, we also rented the boat package. The pontoon boat was used every day. We anchored it out in the lake, and used it as our floating swim dock. The young children spent hours wading along the shore, catching minnows and frogs. Because the game room is situated away from the sleeping areas, it was never a problem with noise, even though it was often used.late into the night. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the extra refrigerator in the game room was great to have, because we shopped at Costco on our way to the house and it had plenty of room for our groceries for the week. We ate dinner every evening out on the deck at the big table. Many of our family members hiked the trails that wandered thru the 47 acres, and we picked up kindling from the nearby woods for our gathering around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and tell stories.over the last 15 years, I have rented 20+ vacation properties from VRBO, and I have to say that Ted was the most attentive owner I have ever dealt with. He is genuinely commited to helping you have a wonderful time while staying in their home. We hope to return sometime in the next few years. Thanks, Ted and Brenda"

  • Best Family Vacation - Ever!! Amazing accommodations and setting!

"We brought our family, kids and grands- 15 of us! Rented both houses- super convenient and great accommodations. The lake was beautiful, we rented a pontoon, went tubing and skiing- a very friendly place and not overrun with boats. We had campfires at night, guys golfed and there's an Ice cream shop out the back door!! Highly recommend the location and the houses are well kept, the one was newly remodeled- very nice! Plenty of rroom and lots to do! And we brought the dogs too!"

  • Amazing rental!

"We just returned from a wonderful week at this property. The house is spacious, clean, and excellently maintained. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 7 kids, that fit easily in the house with room to spare. I was amazed at how well stocked the house was. Not only does it have the standard linens, but the kitchen includes common spices/condiments, the living room had plenty of board games, and the garage held a treasure-trove of bikes, chairs, and beach toys - including 2 kayaks that we were free to use. First house that we've rented together and can't wait to come back!"
