  • A gem, tastefully appointed with an excellent host

"This place exceeded our expectations. I was coming into Grand Rapids for a conference and decided to make it a long girls weekend away. It is truly walking distance to everything Grand Haven has to offer. Having the essentials, toilet paper, shower towels, bed linens was an awesome touch and so uncommon in the VRBO world. The host was available but not annoying for a very personalized stay. Loved Snug Harbor across the street and the Morning Star breakfast cafe. Both served delightful food well within walking distance of the condo. The pier was under construction during our stay, but the walk to the beach along the boardwalk was not affected. It was super cool to watch the sunset and big barges float into the mainland from the balcony. Will stay again!"

  • Beautiful home, stunning view, perfect getaway for the family!

"This home is so perfect for a family gathering! All rooms lovely! The kitchen was fully equipped for a large group and what a treat to gather in the morning, with our coffee, looking at the view of the lake! When it was rainy one day, we visited Dablon winery, with a beautiful tasting room, only one year old. Also, walked at Galien Park, 5 minute drive. Enjoyed, swimming in the lake, playing games in the backyard, basketball in the front yard, and riding around the neighborhood with the provided bicycles. Dinner at Timothy's was a great night, as well! And we took many photos for the yearly Christmas photo of the family! Kathleen is so wonderful to organize your trip to this home, and thank you, from the whole family! From the prompt replies at the beginning, to meeting us at the house, to being available anytime, and then connecting for our goodbye. There is no question that we will return, the only question is how soon!"

  • Artsy condo close to town

"This was a great place to stay walking distance to downtown Douglas. The condo has great amenities, and the pool and hot tub are great. We enjoyed the morning stroll down by the lake and grabbing coffee in town and returning to sit on the deck and relax."

  • Peaceful Beach Retreat

"The private beach at this house cannot be beat. Stevensville is a little off the beaten path of the Union Pier and New Buffalo area, we love it here. The deck for viewing sunsets is perfect! There is a nice big grill and deck eating area which we really enjoyed. The beds are very comfortable! There are 62 stairs to get down to the beach, but it didn't bother us at all and we were lugging our 22 pound grandson down and up the steps. Since it is a private beach we just left our beach umbrellas and beach toys secured under the wooden Adirondack chairs at night. During our one week stay we saw only a couple other people on the beach and they were walking by, so we had it to ourselves. In addition the owner was very responsive and nice. We had a couple minor issues while we were there and she responded extremely promptly to our emails. You will not regret renting this house for your family getaway!"
