  • Making Memories

"Our family had such a wonderful time at Stone Lake. We had 20 staying in the main house, and everyone had a comfortable bed, a quiet place to read, plenty of hot water for showers, and a seat at the table for breakfast and dinner. We also rented the cabin, which I would recommend if you plan to spend time at the beach. It was nice to have the refrigerator and bathroom close, and we could put little ones down to nap as we sat on the porch swing and watched the others fish off the dock. The highlight of our week was the kayaks. It was a race every night to watch the sunset over the lake...some in the pontoon boat, sipping wine and enjoying appetizers, and others kayaking out to find the best view. Then back to the cabin for s'mores over the bonfire, board games around the dining room table, or pool/ping pong/foosball competition in the game room. Ted was great! So responsive to every question or concern. We took two day trips...one to South Haven and one to St. Joe, which are less than an hour away. (St. Joe was the favorite.) We had four dinners and four breakfasts prepared by Sherrie at Porky's. A five minute drive from the house, always ready when we arrived, reasonable prices and good food. All in all, a very memorable family time for us. But I'm sorry to say there may not be any fireflies left....because I think our little ones may have caught them all! (We also brought our little dog, who tells me she had wonderful time and would gladly recommend the house to other pups.)"

  • Great time Memorial Day weekend!

"The pictures do not do this place justice. Very Clean and plenty of room inside to sleep 8 comfortably plus 2 dogs. You could probably get away with sleeping 10 comfortably. The cost was very fair especially since it included access to a pontoon boat, paddle boat, kayaks and firewood. The pontoon boat was perfect for what we needed to relax all weekend. The lake was very peaceful and not crowed at all. Half the time we were the only ones out there. At night we were able to relax by the built in fire pit. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again."

  • Great Weekend Getaway

"Our group of 14 plus a baby had a fantastic time- lots of space, plenty of games and puzzles, and warm and cozy spaces in the hot tub and by the fire. Thanks for a wonderful space."

  • Wonderful!

"We returned for our third year and enjoyed our week once again. Girls now age 5 and 9 continue to love all the lake cottage can offer. We all look forward to another summer vacation at the cozy cottage on fisher lake. Happy family, many memories, and no problems for three years in a row. Can't wait until next Summer!"
