  • Great Vacation!

"My family and I booked the Livingston House for our family vacation. Mrs. Wilkes made booking so easy and was fast to respond to my e-mails or phone calls in regards to questions about the house and beach. The house was beautiful and met all of our needs. The beach was an easy drive (about 20-30 second drive) or walk (maybe 5 minutes) and the stairs going down to the beach were easy to get up and down. My two year old was able to hold my hand and go up and down by herself. It was great being able to leave our beach chairs and sand toys on the beach. We just made sure we put them all out of the way and up in the grass. We spent a lot of time in St. Joseph (a 10 minute or so drive) in the evenings sightseeing and eating in the downtown restaurants. Ice cream and fudge were a must for dessert! If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion my husband and I always make it a priority to eat at the Grand Mere Inn. Fabulous food and spectacular sunsets. Our kids loved Silver Beach Pizza and really enjoyed playing with the dough they bring for the kids to play with while you are waiting for your food. The pizzas are sooo good. You can call ahead and get on the list for a seat and the restaurant will text you when your table is ready. If you eat there make sure you walk down the sidewalk and go visit the carousel. The kids really enjoyed that. My husband also booked a fishing trip for him and our 6 year old son out on Lake Michigan through Gold Coast Fishing and Captain Todd. They had an amazing time and brought home lots of fish for the freezer. My mom, sister, and niece also accompanied us on this vacation and we all agreed this is a house and location we would love to come back too."

  • Great Location & Set-Up

"I rented this house for my family to use during my wedding at Shadowland, and it was perfect. It is walking distance to the town, beach, and reception! The patio and grill are convenient and the upstairs decks have great views! The bedroom/bathroom above the garage is comfortable - perfect for the groom and my brother to stay in. The upstairs bedroom in the main house has a seating area with a couch and several chairs, and the bedroom comfortably slept 6. The bathrooms are spacious and newer, as is the rest of the house. The beds and bedding were all comfortable and clean. It could not be easier to work with the house manager and rent this property! We will definitely be returning, and it is highly recommended to anyone with a easy going, big group!!"

  • Family and Friends

"I just returned from my week in this house. I rented the house and others of my friends and family came and went during the week. The house was all it is advertised to be and more! We had as many as nine people in the house at a time and had plenty of room. It may be listed as a cottage, but the downstairs is open and spacious and was great for my grand children's birthday parties during the week we stayed. The kitchen is well equipped and it was wonderful to have the washer and dryer."
