  • Saugatuck Cottage

"This cottage was beautiful! We are from Arizona and were traveling to the area for the first time and found the area and the cottage was everything we could have wanted and more. The town is very quaint and the cottage is within walking distance of the various shops and restaurants available. It is a very short walk to the water and a grocery store is a short drive away. The cottage itself is very nice - the pictures do not do it justice. It is very roomy, the bed was comfortable, and it was nice having a full laundry facility available. There wasn't anything we needed or wanted that wasn't available. Mark was very helpful and responded to our questions in a very timely fashion. One of the neighbors was outside when we arrived and showed us to the gate. Parking was not an issue - the cottage was absolutely perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • A Wonderful Week

"My family thoroughly enjoyed their second visit to this lovely lake house. The house is thoughtfully and beautifully laid out - there are spaces to gather together and spaces to spread out. The house has many special features including the shower room off of the master bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with its own bathroom and shower. There is even an outdoor shower. Outside there are two decks and a screened porch. I was always the early riser and enjoyed a quiet coffee each morning on the porch. Then we used the beautiful and well appointed kitchen to make breakfast together for everyone. The days were filled with swimming and sun at Oval Beach, climbing Mt. Baldhead, shopping in nearby Saugatuck, Douglas, and South Haven, and even renting stand up paddle boards and "Craigcats" on the Kalamazoo River. We recommend eating at Crane's near Fenneville, Clementine's in South Haven, and the Wild Dog Grille in Douglas. We also recommend grilling, cooking, and dining in this beautiful home. Barbara was an excellent communicator and was quick to respond to emails. I'll be dreaming of returning to this Glenn retreat during the cold winter months."

  • Shorewood property in Douglas

"The Shorewood property was just as beautiful as the online pictures. Two items to mention: 1.) The house was secluded and surrounded by beautiful woods so there was limited view of the lake, but the walk to the beach was acceptable and 2.) The beds are very high off the floor and we had an elderly grandmom who could not get into and out of them safely. (The bunk bed room were taken over by four cousins!) She did have to sleep on the sofa in the second floor living room. It is a beautiful room and she wasn't unhappy sleeping there. And it turned out to be the quiet spot of the house! The home is well maintained and very clean. The furnishings were well taken care of and the basement playroom was a big hit! The outside of the property was secluded and we enjoyed using the fire pit. Our family spent many years summer vacationing in Douglas/Saugatuck and we enjoyed visiting the area in October. We could tell the owners loved and took care of their home and we would definitely stay at Shorewood again and recommend to others to rent this home."
