  • This house is adorable and was very comfortable for our weekend getaway!

"My friend and I took our four kids, ages from 6 to 10, here for the weekend. We both said multiple times that the home was perfect. The backyard fire pit was great, the kids loved playing in the front yard , and the inside was so homey and inviting. It was close to so many amazing restaurants and breweries and minutes from the dunes. It was stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were really comfortable. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Ideal location, roomy, clean, and welcoming...

"We couldn't be happier with the house we rented. The location is ideal, the house is roomy and very well appointed, and the communication was primo. Tons of space for two families with kids ranging from four to 16 and with varying bedtimes and wake up times. The two living room setup is perfect and allowed for music playing and sing along on one end and quiet puzzle solving on the other. Kitchen well supplied and with an island that, as always, turned into a prime gathering place. Loved the back yard and deck too--has a nice fire pit and plenty of space for bocce ball. Location of the property gives quick access to Sawyer and the surrounding area too. One member of our party has special needs and the house as a single level property was ideal in that regard as well. Thanks a million! We're looking forward to a return trip."

  • Great cottage in lovely area of Harbor Country, away from the crowds

"I recently spent the Labor Day weekend at this property and it was truly a wonderful vacation. The cottage is fully equipped with whatever you might need. Nicely appointed and very comfortable with a screened in porch overlooking a large & lush backyard. This soon became my spot for morning coffee and relaxing anytime... watching the birds and gazing at the greenery. Would be lovely in the Autumn I am sure. Thoughtfully maintained and very clean, the cottage has both Central a/c and great (quiet) ceiling fans to keep you cool, a full washer/dryer in the unit, and a nice tv/dvd setup. You feel secluded and private, yet with only a short drive to SAWYER MARKET (fabulous for basics and gourmet stuffs, plus produce from local areas and a gift shop !) and close to all the area has to offer in New Buffalo/Union Pier/Three Oaks and other towns. Walking distance to Cherry Beach and owner provides a pass for your use. Furniture and beds are comfy and linens are provided. You could pay (much) more for new construction, marble countertops, 800 thread-count sheets, etc. but this is a perfect place to get away from it all, be cozy and comfortable, and still have change left over to take yourselves for a nice dinner or the kids up to St. Joseph for a road trip along the Lake. I recommend it as a tonic to the soul and a place to make some wonderful memories, no matter what the Season is. Owner was also extremely prompt and easy to deal with, checking in to see if I needed anything or had questions. PLUS ***Great wi-fi !! Thanks Russ for sharing your getaway…:)"

  • This is a great property!

"Wow. I don't know where to begin on my review other than this is a great property in a great location. We were two families visiting the area for spring break and the house was fantastic. Our favorite part of the house was the large kitchen. It was so roomy and we especially loved the large central island. We cooked in several times and we found everything that we needed. The large gas stove was amazing! Another thing that we especially loved was the outdoor area and fire pit. When the weather was nice, we went outside in the evening and had a fire and enjoyed the great hot tub. It was great. This place has lots of room to spread out and it had one feature that the families enjoyed. It had a sliding glass door that separated the living and sleeping areas. This was great because it kept the sleeping area quiet while the early risers began cooking breakfast. If you are considering this rental, please don't hesitate. We have rented several VRBO homes and cabins in several states and we all agreed this is the nicest home to date."
