  • Beautiful grounds and home!

"Home was beautiful and very well equipped. Kitchen had everything you could imagine. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The yard was beautiful and private. It had a fire pit with logs provided. Short walk to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrella were included. There even was a wagon for the grandchildren. We enjoyed our visit and hope to be back next year."

  • Nice small cottage with challenging stairs to sleeping area

"Let me start with the stairs to the sleeping area. They are very steep and the treads are short so only part of an adult foot fits on the stair. The pictures do not really show how steep they are. The sleeping is on the second floor and the only bathroom is on the 1st floor. We stayed for 4 nights in mid August and enjoyed the house and the area. The house is very clean and well maintained. We used the hot tub and found it clean. We spent one evening watching a movie from the provided DVD's. There are also books and magazines to keep you busy. The owners keep dishes, pots and pans as well as many other kitchen items for guests to use. We spent time hiking the sand dunes which are walking distance from the house. One can also walk to the beach if desired. If you drive to the beach there is a daily fee of $9 per car. We went up and down Red Arrow highway to visit many of the other towns along the lake. In Sawyer we ate at the Clean Plate for breakfast and the brewery for one of our dinners, both were very good. The best food we had was at Journeyman distillery's restaurant. The pizza there is amazing. If in St. Joseph's stop at Cabana's in downtown for the best ice cream you will ever have. We visited Round Barn brewery, winery and distillery one afternoon for some tastings, I would recommend. The market and produce stand in downtown Sawyer is a must stop as well. We enjoyed the house and would book again if traveling to this area."

  • CLEAN cozy cottage for a PERFECT family getaway!

"My family and I have used VRBO numerous times in the past. This by far was our favorite find! Cozy home with all amenities you want including a kitchen so nice, we really didn't care to eat out;-) Days were spent checking out local beaches and Warren Dunes, nights sitting around the fire pit and playing games on the screened in porch. My brother and his girlfriend came down from Chicago for the weekend to join us and we had PLENTY of room! Already talking about another stay! Thank you so much, Chris. You really have a special place to offer!"

  • Have a wonderful week

"Our family of four (and our family dog) had a wonderful week at the Fairytale Cottage. The house is a short walk to Warren Dune and we had spent several late evening at the beach to watch sunset. The house is well equipped with everything and I loved the large dining table where my husband and I worked on our laptops every evening. The neighborhood is quiet and we walked to the fruit stand to get fresh fruit. We had a fun and relaxing week and we look forward to returning for vacation next summer."
