  • A Gem of Property

"My husband and two small children had the opportunity to stay at Rosemary's cottage a few weeks ago. We are so thankful that we had the chance! Here is my best recollection of the layout. When you walk in you will see a large room that encompasses the kitchen and family room. The kitchen is a chef's delight. Definitely make yourself acquainted with all the cabinet contents. There is everything you need for your stay to make and serve meals. The family room is cozy and there are tvs in it as well as the kitchen (despite them being just a few feet apart). Also on the main floor is a fabulous screened in porch where we spent countless hours. The main floor has three bedrooms, simple and comfortable with plenty of closet space. The bathroom on the main floor has a double sink and is beautiful as well. Off the family room is a set of stairs down to the finished basement. There are two futons plus two twin beds. There is another tv in the basement as well as a lot of beach books and board games. There is also another full kitchen (we grabbed a lot of the plastic dishes from here cuz of our small kids) and another fabulous bathroom with a walk in shower that was divine. The pool. oh the pool. I wish I could have stayed hours in it. Just like Rosemary says, the salt water is magical. You will be thinking about it every time you step into a chlorinated pool. I always felt better after I swam. There are plenty of towels for the pool as well as the bathrooms. The washer and dryer worked perfectly--which is huge when you are constantly washing towels. The grill was so great. We cant say enough good things about Falatics butcher shop just around the corner--we grilled all the time because it was so exquisite. Beach access. I would advise driving to cherry beach. It was pretty secluded and quiet (unless you want a ton of people) and very easy to get to. You will be surrounded by nature: there is a family of deer that we saw multiple times a day as well as wild turkeys everywhere. So fun! I am trying to think of one flaw of Rosemary's place. The best I can come up with is that it is missing a recycling bin outside for all the water bottles, pop cans, etc. Other than that it was such a perfect cottage for our stay and we sincerely hope we get the chance to return. Oh and by the way, it is absolutely true that Rosemary is so easy to reach at a moments notice if you have any questions. Thank you Rosemary!"

  • Ideal location, roomy, clean, and welcoming...

"We couldn't be happier with the house we rented. The location is ideal, the house is roomy and very well appointed, and the communication was primo. Tons of space for two families with kids ranging from four to 16 and with varying bedtimes and wake up times. The two living room setup is perfect and allowed for music playing and sing along on one end and quiet puzzle solving on the other. Kitchen well supplied and with an island that, as always, turned into a prime gathering place. Loved the back yard and deck too--has a nice fire pit and plenty of space for bocce ball. Location of the property gives quick access to Sawyer and the surrounding area too. One member of our party has special needs and the house as a single level property was ideal in that regard as well. Thanks a million! We're looking forward to a return trip."

  • Beautiful grounds and home!

"Home was beautiful and very well equipped. Kitchen had everything you could imagine. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The yard was beautiful and private. It had a fire pit with logs provided. Short walk to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrella were included. There even was a wagon for the grandchildren. We enjoyed our visit and hope to be back next year."

  • Very convenient to fun activities

"This cozy cottage is very close to great activities like wineries, Hesston Steam Museum, orchards, and Warren Dunes State Park. While the layout of the cottage had everything we needed, it is in need of some attention and repair (deck walkway, shower grout, bathroom door knob, couch linens). It was nice being able to cook meals at home for our littles, but don't forget your staples like butter and cooking spray. My kiddo loved the tree swing and watering the flowers outside in the yard. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
