  • Very cute house with nice beach

"I spoke with the owner at length before renting. Doug was extremely helpful and easy to work with. The house is super cute. There is newer furniture than in the pictures here."

  • Had a fantastic time

"Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown the place. It was cozy, clean and extremely close to the water. The air was on when we got there, which made the place pleasantly cool, but the weather was nice enough that we simply shut it off and opened the windows. There is a charcoal grill right on the back porch, that we used for every meal while we stayed, as well as a few lawn chairs and picnic table. If you're into fishing, there is a bait and tackle shop less than a mile away as well. This, combined with the size of the lake led us to rent a pontoon boat, which was affordable and easy to maneuver, even for an amateur boater such as myself. The owners were very gracious and kind; happy to have a chat and laugh, like they were almost part of the family that you don't see often enough. I intend on returning soon, if not this summer/fall, then definitely the next. I can hardly say enough nice things about the little neighborhood, accommodations and the people that invited us into their rental home. Highly recommended, beautiful and relaxing."

  • Great Time!

"My family and I spent a week at this cottage. We had a great time! Perfect house for large families. Deck over looking the water is amazing! Would definitely stay there again. We had people of all ages with us and the house was perfect for everyone."

  • Rustic Two Story Cottage on Magician Lake of Sister's Lakes, MI

"Cynthia was very accommodating to our large group of 12, we'd love to stay with her here again in the future. The area is wonderfully quiet and private. The house is rustic, has most of what you need for a quiet getaway with up to 10-12 people, comfortably. With four different sleeping areas, it wasn't a problem finding space for all 12 family members to sleep. Beds were clean and cozy, adults even shared the bunk beds. The house overall was adequately clean, including the bathroom and kitchen. Cynthia provides most necessities (including pots, pans, silverware & dishes) aside from paper goods & linens. Guest tip - bring a bathroom rug. The screened-in porch was a nice touch for us when we experienced a stormy night, while the fire-pit was pre-stocked with wood for us to enjoy every other night (it was easy to order additional wood if needed). The creek that the house is on is great for fishing, we pulled up large mouth bass, blue gill, catfish, and other things. The water at both the creek and the Lake was warm, but a little murky with vegetation. Owner recommendations: the WIFI really wasn't great, you may want to check on that. You also may want to invest in a more inviting guest swimming area, as the current lake beach access isn't as desirable as we had hoped. The pier there is small and covered in goose feces. The picnic tables could be cleaned once in a while to remove spider webs, etc. Also - perhaps drag/rake more regularly the swimming area to remove vegetation. The fix person floatie anchored in the water there was a nice bonus."
