  • Great location, clean comfortable home

"Loved staying in this home. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils, dishes, etc. The force porch was a bonus along with the fenced yard. The location was perfect to walk to the beach and town."

  • Exactly what we were looking for!

"This home delivered everything we expected from the listing plus lots of little extras in the details. The house is spotless - an integral part of feeling comfortable in someone else's home - and well decorated. The kitchen has ample dishes, utensils, gadgets and pans. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms looked recently updated. We used the wifi, TV and grill and all were great! Of course the Lake is the star and it was great to be so close to it. Be sure to decode the letters of the nautical flags hanging in the living room! Very cute!"

  • Perfect Home, Perfect location!

"We went to South Haven for a week and stayed at Marla and Jims place and everything was amazing! The house is so cozy and well kept, well furnished and so comfortable. From the moment we pulled in the drive and were greeted by Marla and Jim we knew we made the right choice in rentals. The home is so close to town and the beach that you can walk to everything! So many great restaurants in town to enjoy. We ate at Black River Tavern and saw the comedy show! So funny! Not to miss evening! Admiral Jacks is a great place for a bite to eat and enjoy the sunset. And speaking of sunsets..... they are so beautiful in South Haven. We did an afternoon in Holland , if you go , you have to eat at 8th Street Grille. And we spent an afternoon in Saugatuck shopping and ate at The Butler and saw a musical at the Center of Performing Arts. It was so funny! It was fabulous! Would recommend checking out the venue and any upcoming performances. The best part of the house is just how close it is to the beach. We had such a relaxing enjoyable stay. The owners thought of everything for your needs. We definitely will be back next year!"

  • A Great Family Reunion

"We very much enjoyed our stay in this home. We especially liked the close proximity to town. It was a little far from the beach, but walking was definitely doable, especially on the road thru town and out to the beach/pier. The pier was a great place for an evening walk and viewing the sunset. The major appliances were all new and great. There was even a nice smaller washer and dryer in the carriage house. We would have enjoyed having a blender and better/sharper knives. There was 21 of us. We did some of our cooking in the carriage house as well as the main kitchen. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't an area large enough to all eat together. We did enjoy the porch on the back for our larger gatherings, though it was in the sun in the afternoon and evening. We were disappointed that the internet/wifi didn't seem to work better than it did. We just had a couple of minor things come up and our call was answered very promptly and the concern was quickly addressed and taken care of. It was a fun week."
