  • Convenient location to everything, great price and very cozy, nice place!

"My wife and I along with our dog stayed at this property for two nights! It was a last minute booking within a few days of our stay and the owner was very responsive to our questions. It is very conveniently located to everything- only about 20-30 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids where we spent a lot of our time. Very clean, nice and for a great price! We had a chance to meet the owners the day we left too. They were very nice and accommodating- allowing us a late check out with no problem! We look forward to staying here again!"

  • A Fun & Relaxing Summer Getaway for the Entire Family!

"We were looking for a place that wasn't too far from home, located right off the lake, dog-friendly for our small dog, and equipped with all the modern amenities of home - Patti's lakeside cottage was a perfect fit! The house looks small from the outside, but the renovation made the best use of the available space, creating a roomy & comfortable feel. When we first arrived, the weather was a bit cloudy & rainy, but the lake was still beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing indoors in the beautifully decorated cottage. Patti even gifted my college-bound girls with adult coloring books to keep them occupied in case of bad weather or boredom. Boredom never came as we enjoyed just being by the lake, napping, visiting a local brewery for lunch, making smores, and watching movies. The first night there, we were grilling our dinner when the gas tank gave out. It was not a big deal as we finished cooking indoors on the stove and got the tank refilled the next day. Although we told Patti it would not be necessary to reimburse us, a refund to cover the gas tank refill was received a couple days after we returned home. One thing that was a bit bothersome for my husband was that the bed was creaky. I was fine with it, but he is a sensitive sleeper, so he had a hard time falling asleep as the bed would creak with any slight movement. Also, be advised that the layout of the property has the 2-story garage in the front of the house with stairs leading down to where the house is located just behind the garage, so it can be a bit of work carrying things back & forth from your car to the house, and I could see it being difficult for the elderly or physically challenged. The best thing about the place was that the lake was right outside the door and ample water toys were provided. There was no need to make extensive plans to drive to a lake/beach and rent equipment. Anytime we wanted to go for a swim, take a kayak ride around the lake, or enjoy the paddleboards, all we had to do was step outside. Our dog even had his first swimming experience in the lake, and he really enjoyed taking rides with us in the kayaks. It was our first vacation with our dog, so it really made things more memorable for us. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay one more day as the weather was beautiful that last day! Patti was a wonderful host throughout the entire rental process, and we hope to be able to return in the future!"

  • Our Stay on the Ranch

"The small but comfortable, clean and cozy cottage was very affordable. It has everything you need, plus more. The view is amazing and the bed is comfortable. The downstairs area is perfect for mealtime and morning coffee or tea while reading a book. The upstairs is spacious and a blowup mattress is provided for extra sleeping arrangements if needed. Watching the horses stroll about was another added bonus. I appreciated them allowing me to bring my dog as well. The owners were very nice, easy to work with and very accommodating. The booking, checkin and checkout process was also a breeze. I recommend this property to others. Not so good during our stay: At the time I booked, I clearly stated that I wanted to come to getaway and just relax. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the family was working on the roof of the main house which took away from mom and I relaxing and being able to listen to nature. Instead, we had to listen to the sounds of hammering and a bit of loud talking on the roof. I didn't say anything or complain to them at the time because although it was disturbing and took away from my quite time there...I assumed that it must have been something that needed to be fixed before the winter season. I only wish I had been informed before I booked. If I had known about the repairs, I would have made other arrangements. We planned on spending all of our time on the property (which was communicated) so we were disappointed that we didn't really get the peace we were looking forward to having during our stay. Still...I would certainly recommend this property to others, especially for those who love horses. However, if you plan on spending most of your time on the property, just make sure they aren't doing any outside home maintenence during your stay 😉. 2016"

  • Amazing, relaxing, comfortable

"Contemporary design, comfortable accommodations, open concept. Perfect for a group of 6 friends or less. We had a fantastic winter getaway; a hot tub in the woods was exactly what we needed!"
