  • Very cute, clean, perfectly located cottage!

"The cottage was immaculate and nicely updated. We really loved the front deck and sat out there in the morning and evening. Refrigerator was nice to have because we bought bread and treats from the nearby De Boer's Restaurant/Bakery, that we had for breakfast a couple of mornings. Close walk to Ottawa Beach Inn, which had great burgers and not too far to the 250 steps of Mt. Pisgah to work it off! Great, quiet neighborhood and we took walks every night. Would definitely come back! PS, Bob (owner) was very accessible and responsive when we realized that we had forgotten a couple of items - he mailed them to us immediately - very nice!"

  • Great location. Clean. Well-equipped. Comfy, cozy!

"It's spring here in MI but the cottage and town were still a little piece of heaven for me and my girlfriends. All necessities were provided and the welcome basket of goodies and wine was a very nice touch. It said a lot about Marta and how she will be known by me - thoughtful and classy. Next time we'll have to reserve the larger part of the house!"

  • Perfect for family/friends getaway

"My extended family and I spent a Thanksgiving weekend here. It was the perfect place to gather -- seven bedrooms (including the three in the inn) and a big kitchen with plenty of places to gather (nice oven, big fridge, good assortment of dishes and cookware and two dishwashers too). The innkeepers also put us in touch with a local business from which we rented extra dining tables and chairs so everyone could sit together for our big meal (reasonably priced). A very well-kept and cozy place. Would definitely recommend. Location in Harbor Country -- very near Warren Dunes State Park -- also a major plus. Easy rental and check-in/check-out process with friendly, helpful staff and owners."

  • Great place to Gather with Family

"We were already familiar with this rental house after spending time there with a friend on two other occasions. Having enjoyed our time there it came to mind when we were looking for a place to 'get away' for a few days mid-week with our children and grand children. There were ten of us total. Six adults and four children. Perfect bedroom set up for all of us. Great kitchen to spend time gathered around the large island. The kitchen was well furnished with all you could need. From utensils to dishwasher. Lots of dishes, etc. Two porches, front and back (back is large screened in porch) to sit on and enjoy the views. We happened to have beautiful October days and enjoyed going for walks down to the lake and exploring the quiet neighborhood. My husband and I (grandparents) stayed in the large master bedroom that had a sliding door out to the screened in porch. Great Master bath. Both sets of parents had their own rooms and then the children (two in each room) had their own rooms. Idea for our family group. We brought some prepared meals like chili and soup and pasta, so not a lot of prep and cooking. Just heating up. Plus we went out to eat. Good restaurants in the area. Plus you can order, pick up and bring in food. The whole house is set up wonderfully with lots of space to gather. A fireplace in the living room and a fire pit outside. We used both. We brought the packaged pressed logs for the living room fireplace so we didn't have to bother with wood inside. The home was clean and well maintained. Lots of space for the children to play in the downstairs basement. Plus pool table that the men really enjoyed (girls too). We took lots of pictures and made some great family memories. Can't wait to go back. We all agreed we could have stayed longer. Next time. :)"
