  • Cozy, clean and comfortable.

"We spent a very nice long weekend at Union Pier, with East of Eden as our home base. The cottage is just the right size for two adults. With a single bathroom I would not recommend it for more than a family with very small children if at all. We had our 55# Lab with us and he was quite comfortable, although the nearest dog friendly beach was some drive away. The cottage is very clean, nicely updated and thoughtfully equipped for an extended stay. You can get peace and quiet prior to the end of May but we suspect after that it's going to be a lively place. The owners were especially nice and we felt as if they are loaning us their cottage for the weekend."

  • Michiana Shores rental

"Extremely comfortable and spacious house. We were five including a toddler. The arrangement of bedrooms was terrific for privacy; the common rooms large and gracious. Very much enjoyed the easy walking to the beach and the neighborhood park. The house is nestled in the woods, the beach three minutes away. It's like two vacations in one. We would happily return."

  • Great cabin in the woods

"We stayed with my parents and our two kids at this great cabin. The cabin is very nice. The kitchen is full of dishes, pots, pans, and any kitchen utensil you could need. There is a great deck with a hot tube and grill off the back off the house that overlooks a river. It's a great place to spend some time. There is also a big yard with a nice fire pit and some playground stuff which is on the small side but works well enough. The beds and furniture are nice too. The downsides are that the water has a sulfur smell to it so we only drank bottled water, the dishwasher always falls off the tracks (a minor nuisance really), and you can always hear cars on the highway (also not that big a deal). There's also a train going by every few hours which I liked, but it might bother some people. If they fixed the water smell thing it would be as close to perfect as makes no difference."

  • Privacy, unparalleled lakefront beauty, complete relaxation, close to everything lakeshore !

"My family and I just returned from a week at Summerset and WOW ! Pictures make it look amazing and it's all that and MORE !! So relaxing. Sunsets, sounds of waves, watching storms across the water! The house is furnished and equipped with great care and high quality finishes, fixtures and furnishings. Well stocked kitchen, games and entertainment. It's SO convenient to all things Saugatuck and South Haven, a quick drive to both places and you are in the heart of amazing shopping, sights, restaurants, etc but Summerset is at it's heart a private and amazing place to relax, unwind and enjoy a fire atop a bluff overlooking the lake or the hot tub with a view. Book this house, you will be very pleased ! Lake Michigan Lakefront lodging at it’s finest !"
