  • RELAX IN UNION PIER !!

"We just came back from a wonderfully restful and fun week at 'A BLUE MOON.' The home is so comfortable, with plenty of space and yet a cozy, warm feel with relaxing touches all around. Extremely CLEAN!. Our family enjoyed the area beach life ( 1/2 block away, as well as Warren Dunes, St. Joe, New Buffalo and Michigan City).Since we like to cook, we had a complete kitchen with everything we needed for preparing and serving our meals. Coffee shops, restaurants all close by. The home is very PRIVATE, with a beautiful appreciation of the wooded landscape, wildlife, many birds and an overall peaceful setting. Beautiful area to go on long, interesting walks with a variety of historic homes and newer properties as well. You can also easily walk to the beach, and just relax. The owner has a great collection of books, games and movies as well. She is quick to respond to any questions and delivers on everything promised in the description. Highly recommend !! Will be back!"

  • Beautiful grounds and home!

"Home was beautiful and very well equipped. Kitchen had everything you could imagine. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The yard was beautiful and private. It had a fire pit with logs provided. Short walk to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrella were included. There even was a wagon for the grandchildren. We enjoyed our visit and hope to be back next year."

  • Winter wonderland!

"We got this place for the guests of our winter wedding to stay in between festivities. It was a very cozy place, three stories with three bedrooms. All three bedrooms are on the top floor. The first bedroom has two full size beds (shared hall bath), the second bedroom has one queen size bed (shared hall bath with bedroom #1), the third bedroom has a king size bed and twin sized couch bed if needed. This is the master bedroom and has a full bath attached to the room as well as a balcony overlooking the lake. There are two washer/dryer units (one on the top floor and one on the basement floor). The ground floor has an attached garage, a half bath, a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and spices as needed. There is also a balcony that over looks the large lake. The basement floor has a full bar, pool table, treadmill, second washer/dryer unit and walk out area to the lake. We stayed there in the winter so we did not use the lake or lake resources, but the view was beautiful in the winter. The rules of this property are pretty strict. You can only have 8 people staying here at a time, only 4 cars in the driveway and the average age of the people renting need to be over 35 years old. If you can fulfill all of these requirements then this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it!"

  • Great family rental--5 Stars

"Rented the Woodlands Lodge for a large family get together. The lodge was perfect. Plenty of space and an abundance of seating for large groups to get together. Everything is well stocked: kitchen, bathrooms, linens, games rooms, etc. The house is clean and well maintained There is plenty of parking. We made use of the grills, hiking in the woods and used the large areas outside for games (lawn darts, bean bag, etc.) Ted Gogol, owner is super friendly and accommodating (great to work with). I would highly recommend his rentals. Don"
