  • Great weekend getaway at Paw Paw Lake!

"My family of 4 had a great extended weekend at this home on Paw Paw Lake. The home was clean, comfortable and had all the basics you would need. The swim area was clean with a sandy bottom and the fishing was great right off the pier. The owners were wonderful to speak with during the booking process and answered any questions we had very quickly."

  • Great for our two young families!

"We drive the easy 2.5 hours from Chicago and stayed at Phoenix in the Dunes with another family over the Columbus Day weekend. 4 adults and 6 kids under 6. The house was great. There was plenty of room for everyone and enough beds to spare. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed and more...stand mixer, coffee maker, espresso machine (lattes!), massive stock pot, skillets of all sizes, multiple sets of dinner dishes, and on and on. The two story living room with fireplace was really comfortable. Everything about this house is just perfect. We went apple picking at nearby Crane's apple orchard, then avoided that lunch crowd and had a lovely lunch at Saugatuck Brewing Company (conveniently located about halfway between Cranes and Phoenix in the Dunes). Another afternoon, we drove about 8 minutes to the Saugatuck State Park and hiked through the woods to the lake. We also made several short walks from the house to the lake where the kids played on the beach. I definitely recommend this house. For us, the only drawback...and this is being very picky...is that the house is up high with dropoffs all around, which means there's no yard for the kids to go out and play in. Obviously, there is plenty of other awesome outdoor fun to be had though. Also, Elizabeth was really great to work with leading up to our stay and provided all the information we needed to feel comfortable in the house. She was very responsive to all my questions and easy to deal with as far as payment, keys, etc. If you're thinking about staying here, DO IT!"

  • We stayed July 31-Aug 6

"The property is as described and pictured...wonderful! The house is newer, well maintained and clean, right on the beach with lots of amenities. The area is great, close proximity to various activities. The property owners are very easy to work with and responsive to questions/inquiries about the property. Beautiful sunsets!!!! I would highly recommend this property."

  • WOW!

"Our family of two adults and four teenagers just concluded our vacation at the Rustic Cottage, and I can honestly say I miss it everyday. The view and beach are fantastic; one really can walk and walk and walk. Having the bikes was terrific as well as the other water sports equipment. We had a little glitch with a paddle board, but Gary could not have been more understanding... Thanks again, Gary. A short drive to South Haven and Saugatuck gave us the shopping experience and dining out that we wanted for a day but always looked forward to making it back to the cottage for cooking out and relaxing bluff-side. Fires on the beach and the tent made the trip complete. I only wish we could have stayed longer. See you next year!"
