  • Perfection

"We've just returned from our fifth (!) vacation at this cottage, and we're already signed up for year 6. The only word for this property is perfection. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained. The location could not be better. It's centrally located to so many attractions, that we're still finding new places to investigate, although this year we spent more time just sitting out on the deck and watching life pass by on the Straits of Mackinac. The owners and caretaker are responsive to questions and concerns, so we feel well taken care of when we stay at this cottage. We stay for three weeks and return home each year relaxed and counting the days until we can go back again. We look at other properties every year, and then sign right back up for this one. It's hard to surpass what is already perfect."

  • 5th Time to Visit Heaven on Earth!!!

"We have for the last 4 years spent our Christmas in this beautiful cottage in St. Ignace, we would be heart broken not be be able to so this each year it's our happy place.....Bernie and Kathy are the very BEST home owners we have ever worked with...so willing to help in anyway...we have never met them face to face but feel like they are family, sharing their piece of heaven with us each year...we cook our Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Day Turkey Dinner, bake Christmas Cookies, and RELAX and enjoy the views....so breathtaking.....we visit all the beautiful locations in the Lower and U.P. Michigan...This year we explored and shopped Petoskey, Good Hart, Harbor Springs, the SOO. the Cut River Bridge (a must see), Tahquamenoa Falls ( a must see), and Mackinaw Island in the Winter....after a day of adventure we came "HOME" (because this is how you feel in this gorgeous home it's like your own home, but better) to a wonderful fire in the fireplace to warm up...the word RELAXING is an understatement it is truly HEAVEN on EARTH!!! Kathy and Bernie the owners painstakingly make sure your visit is one to remember and I promise you, you won't want to leave....but because we all have to return to reality....I also promise you..you'll want to return trust me you will! The cottage is decorated so beautifully and the views of St. Ignace and Mackinaw Island are unbelievable...You'll watch the ferries going back and forth to the magical Mackinaw Island...We also stayed here in the Summer...which is amazing also.....with all the flowers, whirl pool, and the beautiful town of St Ignace...you can't go wrong...if I could give this a millions stars I would..honestly I almost hate to tell you how wonderful it is..I wish I could keep it all to ourselves but now that wouldn't be fair...everyone deserves a slice of Heaven in their lives and this is the place...enjoy your future stay here you'll fall in love the minute you walk in!!!!"

  • A great rustic cabin

"Positive: Location, shopping, parks, neighborhood, quick responses from Mark (owner) whenever I had questions, clean interior, very comfortable lodging, a nice fire pit with seating all around, washer and dryer in good condition, ample supply of hot water, park within walking distance Negative: There was only a partial roll of toilet paper and three kitchen trash bags - definitely needed more for an extended stay. Really not an issue as the store is only a few blocks away. There was a spider infestation on the exterior of house by the fire pit. Grass needed to be mowed. We were satisfied with the lodging and had a great time in this old house. It is definitely rustic - floors are not level... but it was clean inside and is much better than a tent or RV when there is a family reunion. We would definitely stay again."
