  • Awesome home away from home!

"We stayed here for two weeks this summer after spending the previous ten years or so staying a little further north near Hessel. A bunch of date conflicts kept us from renting out there this year, so we cast our net a little further out to find a place. St. Ignace is familiar to our family, so we decided to take a chance on a new place and picked this one, as it was in our price range and we liked the view from the photos. Boy, did we luck in to a great house! The owner is great to work with and super responsive. He wants to make sure you enjoy all that St. Ignace has to offer, and that's a lot! We enjoyed the Saturday night fireworks right from the back deck (twice!), the downtown area with shops, marina, amenities and other attractions is literally a couple blocks away and an easy walk. There are three parks nearby, one with a splash pad for the kids, plus play equipment and places to wade in the lake. All three ferry services to Mackinac Island are within walking distance along the boardwalk, or a short car or bike ride if you prefer. There is a Dollar General down along the boardwalk, and a full-service grocery store just a short ride up the hill behind the house (walkable for the adventurous, I suppose). The Trading Post a little north on Busuness 75 has a full-service butcher shop with fresh meats and some great prepared foods, too. We like to cook at home some days and eat out on days when we are out of the area. The kitchen in the house has a decent stock of cookware and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals at home. There is a gas grill outside and an electric stove in the kitchen. St. Ignace has a good number of restaurants in town. Some of our favorites include the Driftwood, Fred's Pub, Clyde's (which still has car-hop service!), BC Pizza, the Trading Post... And we still haven't tried some of the other places in town yet, but they look good! St. Ignace itself has events almost every day in the summer. In addition to the fireworks, there is live music on a few evenings, historical tours and events, movies in the park, daytime events at the library... Seriously, if you come here and are bored, you're doing it wrong! All that said, our favorite thing to do here has probably been to sit on the back deck and just watch the boats go by. Totally relaxing. Great house, great owner. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing!"

  • Beautiful Condo

"We loved our stay. We had the resort all to our selves. The view was amazing from the windows and balcony. The location of this condo was perfect for you to go to Black river water falls, Porcupine mountains and Copper state falls park in Wisconsin. We loved that this condo had a grill and washer and dryer. This condo was really roomy we had total of 7 people that stayed in the condo and it never felt crowded. The only thing we had a problem with this condo was the internet. The WiFi signal would work fine for about a quarter of the time while we were there but the rest of the time it wouldn't work at all. Other than that this place was absolutely fantastic."

  • UP trip exceeded expectations!

"We sadly returned home, from an AMAZING stay here. This property was perfect for our large (23 folks) family! Each 'family' was able to spread out in their own house at night, but we all met up at the main house for meals and to hang out. The houses were all SO clean, amazingly maintained, and the kitchen set-up was perfect. Julie and Bob were so helpful. The kids loved all the grassy areas to play and ride bikes, the beach was a huge hit (and the water was comfortable for swimming!), and there were plenty of day-trip activities to do nearby. We look forward to returning!"

  • Absolutely gorgeous home

"I can't explain how beautiful the house is. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The panoramic view of lake superior right out your front door is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous sunsets. Fabulous rock hunting. So peaceful and quiet. Nikki is wonderful and very helpful. I appreciate everything she sent me before we arrived for our vacation and the quick responses I received with emails and text messages ( even while we were there). All you need to bring is yourself and your luggage. Everything else is provided. Only been home 2 days and thinking of renting next year.....my mother and I miss it so much already! You won't be sorry you rented this home, 5 star does not due it justice.....10 star rating all the way.....thanks for sharing this beautiful home."
