  • Relaxing Lake House

"We stayed for several weeks and had a wonderful time. The great room is so bright and had a nice view of the lake and backyard. We enjoyed using the kitchen. Our toddler loved the apples from the apple tree and looking out for the bunnies that live on the property. We used the boat dock to go kayaking on the calm, beautiful lake. The house was clean and well supplied."

  • Great Winter Escape

"Wonderful place to stay. You can stay inside and enjoy the incredible view or use it as a base camp for all to do in the Keweenaw - snow shoe, snowmobile, historical tour. Close to everything, but far enough from town to be secluded."

  • Cabin au Bord du Lac

"This is a very comfortable, cozy cabin with a fabulous view of Portage Lake. Morning sunrises are unbelievably beautiful. Houghton - Chassel trail runs directly behind the cabin and provides easy access to either location. Centrally located in Keweenaw Country, you can be in Copper Harbor in less than an hour or in Baraga or L'Anse in about 30 minutes. This is a great place if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing cabin. Sharon is a great hostess. Only shortcoming is lack of a TV, which was only an issue because of our visit coinciding with the opening weekend of NFL football. Suitable for no more than three people due to its small size."

  • Snowmobile stay

"Nice house. We slept 9 and felt we had plenty of room. Large dineing table and nice size kitchen. The trail they say is 1-1/2 miles away is closed. Its actually 5-8 miles to the trail near Painesdale. The road and ditch had a lot of snow so it was easy to get to the trail."
