  • Hunting in the U P

"We had a nice week hunting in Michigan. The cabin was nice and clean. The forty acres had mowed paths and was very nice to walk. There was even a resident grouse living in the pines. The owner left maps for us to use which was very helpful. Lot of area to cover in the UP nice to come back to cabin."

  • Modern comforts in a beautiful UP wooded cabin setting

"Beautiful location and very clean. We had 6 family members stay at the cabin and everyone had plenty of space. Also, lots of open grass space for kids to play yard games. It is a great place to get away and relax comfortably with nature."

  • Great place to stay

"My family and two dogs stayed at the Homestead for a long weekend and had a great time. The house is very large and super clean. I was a little worried because the furniture looks old in the pictures but it was clean and very comfortable. There was also plenty of outdoor furniture for the incredibly large back yard. My favorite spot was the front porch. The furniture was super comfy and gave us another shady place it sit when it was hot but was also large enough to let us sit out in a rain storm. My 13 year old loved swimming right in our back yard and fishing off the pier. We played football in the yard and basketball at Van Cleve's Park. The park was beautiful and never crowded. Walking the dogs through the park or on the trail by the campground was lovely and convenient. The 4J was a great place for breakfast and the Log Cabin, the Stonehouse (the best lobster bisque) and the Swedish Pantry were great for lunch and dinner. The owner was very helpful and nice to work with."
