  • Nearly Perfect

"Our party arrived mid afternoon on a beautiful day and we found the accommodations very comfortable. We spent much of our time traveling. The young adults played basketball, read and had bon fires. The lake is peaceful, but don't assume you can wade or really swim, a boat/kayak would be ideal. The balusters on the deck are not (current) regulation as my year old grandson found out; at 30 lbs, his whole body nearly went thru so we had to keep him in his bounce seat. . Kitchen had everything but a chef. Virtually no bugs was a plus as we heard horror stories about the black flies. My only disappointment was the deck light; we Love to stargaze and watch satellites and that light made it impossible, even at the end of the dock. I assume it was for safety. We all...ages 1 yr to 84 found our stay delightful. Thanks Barb for being so available."

  • Great secluded getaway for us!

"Our 3 night stay at the Bridge View Beach House was incredibly enjoyable! Rob was very quick to respond to any questions we had and we found that the island locals were incredibly friendly as well. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed except the food that we brought! What my wife and I agreed upon immediately upon arriving is that the pictures do not do this place justice! Besides the amazing view from the cushioned lounge chairs out back, our next favorite perk of this place was the huge screened in porch overlooking the water. When we weren't feet away from the water, we were on the porch enjoying the sights and sounds without the sun or bugs :) We enjoyed 2 s'mores making campfire nights by the water and the views of the bridge that sparkles at night and the stunning view of stars was amazing! Clean bathrooms, clean kitchen and comfortable beds are just a few pleasant details that made our stay an excellent one! My wife would like to add that she is a huge beach lover, and though this property did not have a sandy beach (as most properties on this island do not) she thoroughly enjoyed the cushioned lounge chairs by the water! Also: bring water shoes if you plan on swimming in the beautiful clear lake! We would definitely come back to this location! Thanks Rob and Kirsten!"

  • Quaint cabin in a great location

"We had a great time during our weeklong stay at Kickapoo Camp. It's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The cabin was clean and as described. The oven and stove took a little getting used to (hint: the oven heats up really quickly and gets pretty hot), but by the end of the week, I'd mastered it. We loved the nearby nature preserves - Miller Marsh and Little Sand Bay especially. I did have a bit of cell service at the cabin, though it was spotty (AT&T). Love Beaver Island and we'll be back next year."
