  • Strouble Lake, beautiful and peaceful

"This property had everything we needed. It was beautiful and clean. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in. It was our first experience with a vacation rental and we will do it again. We were able to sight see, or just relax."

  • Best Month Ever!!

"I spent the month of October 2016 in this wonderful condo. It was even better than I imagined. It was so nice that it was hard to come back home to reality! The condo was like a home away from home. I was able to rest and relax while staying up-to-date on my work during the month due to the wireless internet access. Everything you need is provided in the fully-stocked kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Two bikes are provided for guests (I brought my own and stored it out back which allowed my visitors to use the ones provided). It was a great deal and I didn't have to worry about a thing thanks to the thoughtfulness of the owner (she even texted me to wish me happy birthday while I was there)! I would highly recommend the property and am grateful for the opportunity to rent it. I am hoping to make a return trip in the future! In my opinion the condo is perfectly located on the edge of the main tourist area. You are close enough to head downtown to grab a bite to eat or hang out at the library but far enough away that most of the day trippers don't venture that far out. I met some wonderful people and made many great memories. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would love to experience a getaway to wonderful Mackinac Island! Do it---you won't regret it!"

  • Great house and easy access to the Ferry to go to Drummond Island. Great time, Color tour terriffic

"Everything about this house was nice, it has a nice porch out the front where you can look out on the water, and the sun room in front of the house incase it is too cold or windy to sit outside. Having a house like this to spend time in makes your whole vacation go smooth, it was relaxing to come in at night and put your feet up. Thanks again."

  • Great cabin, quiet in nature surrounded by trees and birds

"We had a great time in this cabin. We loved the porch around three sides of the house where you could always find the sun or shade at any time of the day. Enjoyed the quiet and the singing of the birds while reading and having my coffee. Supermarkets are 10 min away. The towns Houghton and Hancock give some fun things to do (15 - 20 min. drive), have some good local restaurants and coffee shops and are beautifully located along the big canal. A must stop is K.C. Bonkers Toys and Coffee in Hancock. This place is a blast with the best coffee in town and fun magical soda creations that children will get a kick out of, like dragon blood with Unicorn milk! Even my 14 year old liked it, so it is not too childish. Plus you can play some great family games while drinking your coffee. We had a great brunch at Suomi restaurant with a Finnish pancake, kind of custard thick with strawberry jam and cardamom toast, yum. It is not expensive. I highly recommend to go see the sunset at McClain State Park, a scenic drive from Hancock going East. We also toured the peninsula one day, Calumet is a neat town to visit, go to Connie's Kitchen to try a local Pasty. Then we took the scenic Brockway Mountain Drive, which was not scenic at all, until you get to the top with a beautiful view of the lake and surroundings. Driving down to Copper Harbor you have some more small scenic parking spots. Copper Harbor is very small, we were frankly not impressed but also tired of touring the whole day. It does seem to be a great place for some biking and hiking and possibly kayaking. The drive along the lake shore on the North -East was also very beautiful. There was plenty more to explore, but we did not have enough time, plus we also enjoyed staying at the cabin and breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the calm. They also have a sauna if you like that. The master bedroom is in the basement, it has a concrete floor with many rugs on it. The kids slept in a roomy loft with two queen beds on the bottom of the bunk beds which was a great place for them. I am sure you will have a good time here."
