  • Peaceful Getaway

"Enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Loved the sound of Lake Superior out the windows. Good place to stay for traveling around that area of the UP. Well stocked and very clean. Owners are very nice and easy to work with."

  • Great location and beach

"My family and I were needing a great hideaway yet accommodating place for one of my daughter's college graduation. This place was perfect. It had all the amenities, space and spectacular view that made this trip for us. We played the games and enjoyed the water so much. It's only about 25 mins to Houghton and there is so much to see and do and the property is centrally located to get around. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals. I highly recommend this property."

  • Finding my way home....

"We found ourselves staying at the Red Chalet one more time. Love the new kitchen! I invited family members who have never visited the U.P. before, so this was a treat. Especially appealing to the youngers were all of the board games, the beach, the exploring leading to great adventures, and the cozy cottage we called home for a week. However, all of the "elders" enjoyed these things, too. Thanks again Mike and Chris, we had an incredible week at the Red Chalet!"

  • Perfect Keewenaw Escape

"This was the perfect northern escape to the Keweenaw. Beautiful Lake Superior location. The lake views from our windows were outstanding. Philip is a perfect host - he made it clear that his priority was making sure that everything was just right. He was extremely accommodating . He was patient, and always smiling, no matter how many times I sought him out for something. This property is a short drive to Houghton/Hancock, and Copper Harbor. Calumet has many restaurants and a large grocery store. We also enjoyed touring Calumets historic downtown. We found many good hiking trails close by. We loved the Monk trails close to Eagle Harbor. . When we come back to this area we wouldn't stay anywhere else!"
