  • Nice Cottage near Silver Lake Activities

"Cottage was very close to most of action at the center of Silver Lake. You can walk to small grocery store, tourist shops, amusements, State Park, and the lake. Very convenient, some noise until quiet time at go cart place down the street. Very roomy backyard with nice fire pit. Large and peaceful spot. Kitchen was equipped as advertised. Plenty of dishes, pots, small appliances, utensils. Note, it does not have a dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. Place was very clean and tidy. Nice front deck to sit out on. Large 10+ person picnic table with umbrella was a welcome help from the afternoon sun. Good gathering spot. We enjoyed renting a dune buggy locally and going on the State Property for riding.. One place we would recommend to see is the walking dunes area on the east side of the lake. it reminds us of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. There is access to the association pool within walking distance of the cottage. Nice large pool with small playground next to it. Open typically, Noon to 5 PM. We went several times to cool off. Location is within a short car ride to Pentwater, Hart, and Ludington. More choices of restaurants there vs Silver Lake. Recommend the Mexican restaurant in Hart. One unexpected item was the request to wash all towels, clean bathrooms, and vacuum before departure. Not a big deal, not something routine at other VRBO's we have stayed at."

  • Pentwater Blue

"If you’ve ever driven by a picturesque Victorian home with a porch and a beautiful garden and wished you lived there Pentwater Blue is the vacation home for you. I felt as if I took a step back in time when I entered this immaculate home. The entire village of Pentwater is welcoming and charming. Everyone was so friendly it was as if I’d lived there my entire life and I was joining my old friends. It was a great location and we were able to walk to the local restaurants and stores including a candy store and an ice cream shop. After my vacation living in the Pentwater Blue I understand why the locals come back for generations to relax and enjoy life."

  • Old country cottage feel with all the modern amenities.

"Very charming old cottage. Lovely country feel. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. From plentiful blankets, linens and pillows to board games and movies for the kids. Huge flat screen tv with wifi and cable for those days when you decide to stay in, but why would you want to. Wonderful fire pit in back yard as well as bbq grilling on the deck and dining area on deck as well as front porch. Close to State Park and beach which was perfect for us. Owners were very responsive with any issues that came up. This place took me back in time to Summer's of my youth. It was great to be able to share that with my grandkids! Thank you Julie and Tim for sharing your cottage with us."
