  • Perfect Weekend Getaway

"This house was great for our mini family vacation. We had 5 adults and 2 toddlers. Everyone had their own space and the rooms were very comfortable. There is plenty of space for everyone to relax. The 3 season porch overlooking the lake was a great place to hang out, catching the breeze from the lake and avoiding the bugs. Caroline has the house so well organized and filled with anything you could want, from games and coloring books for the kids to tons of beach toys, blankets, and towels. The kitchen was especially well organized, making it easy to find things when preparing meals. She really goes above and beyond to make sure the house is ready for you when you arrive. We got in late in the evening and she stopped by to turn on the outside lights and A/C prior to our arrival and left us a plate of homemade cookies (a big hit with my 2 year old). We had a great weekend exploring the Pentwater River and Lake on our kayaks and having the dock to pull up to when we were finished paddling was really nice. The house is a short, easy bike ride into town or a 5 minute drive, so we were able to explore there and get the things we needed easily. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place in Pentwater or near the Silver Lake area, mostly because Caroline is a gracious hostess who really makes sure her guests are content throughout their stay. She is easy to reach if you need something and even sent me back my son's baby blanket that was accidentally left. We will definitely be back to Pentwater and wouldn't hesitate to rent this same house again. Thanks Caroline!"

  • Fabulous "Sandcastle on the hill"

"From the very beginning of searching and inquiring about rentals, Pat's communication with me was great. The house sits at the end of the street so there is really only one close house neighbor on the one side. We rented this lovely home for bringing in the New Year with friends of ours. Our expectations were exceeded when we noticed how fully stocked and clean this house was. It really has just about all you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This is an older home that has been updated nicely for the layout. The home decor is fantastic. The living room was equipped with a gas fireplace that we used our entire visit. The dining area has a huge eight seat table. The kitchen has newer appliances and has everything you need for cooking and the fridge has an ice maker. The eat in kitchen has bar stools for the counter and a small table that we used for euchre. All this overlooks the park and channel of Lake Michigan with a wall of windows. The master bedroom is off the kitchen and it is a nice size. The bed is absolutely huge. There is no tv in this room. The attached bathroom is large and the shower pressure is grrrreat. The laundry room is off of that and it is equipped with nice and new appliances, complete with detergent, softener sheets and stain spray. We did a few loads of laundry during our visit. The upstairs has no bathroom so our pals that slept upstairs had to come down to the main bath that is off the kitchen. This is a cute bathroom and actually backs up to the opposite side of master bedroom but we didn't have any issues with sound while they took showers. The bedrooms upstairs do not have tvs. Our pals said they slept comfortably. The downstairs/converted garage has a full bath, a sitting area with an additional full size fridge and a separate bedroom with a bunk bed, two twins and a flat screen TV. All perfect for the kiddos or adults that want privacy. There are a lot of stairs so I would not recommend for people that may have issues. The outdoor area has multiple decks that would be great for warmer months to hang out on. The hot tub, we can't forget the hot tub. We absolutely got our use out of it. Ahhhhhhhh... The smaller back yard has a firepit, picnic table and lawn chairs. Overall, this place was great and the little touches are really appreciated that the owners have put into it for renters to enjoy. We definitely want to come back again. Feel confident with booking this for your next getaway! Thanks again, Pat!"

  • Family vacation

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Breeze. The house is much larger than it looks in the pictures. Room sizes are great and the house is nicely decorated with comfortable furniture. The two full bathrooms are a bonus. The kids especially loved the upstairs bathroom shower. The bedroom set up was great for our family. The first floor master bedroom is very large and comfortable with a large closet. Our teenage son slept in the attractive basement room equipped with a day bed and futon. Bill even had a dehumidifier down there to make sure it was pleasant. We spent a lot of time on the deck and played outdoor games on the large driveway area. There is a large assortment of bikes, which we used to ride around town and to the beach. The house is in a great location-walking distance to everything. Bill came by to make sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Grand Haven."
