  • Our Summer Retreat

"We wanted to escape the Arizona heat, thus we went in search of a quiet, clean, comfortable and enjoyable location. Richard's property was perfect for us. Everything was exactly as represented and illustrated. We did not lack for any amenities throughout our stay - everything we needed was provided. Richard proved to be highly helpful by providing us a steady stream of relevant information as to activities. We took great advantage of the many activities at Canadian Lakes as well as the surrounding part of Michigan. We golfed several times, canoed with the canoe Richard provided and placed at a nearby boat launch, rode bicycles he provided, attended Canadian Lakes concerts, picnics, fireworks, went to the beach, used the library - well the list goes on and on. Clearly, we entirely recommend staying at this lovely home!"

  • The cottage was huge and very wide open. The deck sat right on the water and had a great view!

"We stayed at the cottage in February so we could go out ice fishing on Croton Pond. It is a great location to access the water/ice. We loved this cottage. It is big and really well furnished. We had 2 adults and 2 young kids (ages 4 and 5) staying for the weekend. One night we invited our family over for a birthday party and had 8 adults and 9 kids in the house and we had plenty of room. The kitchen has all of the appliances you could ever need, including a dishwasher, coffee pot, pots and pans, toaster, crock pot, and so much more. The wi-fi was great. Having a washer and dryer in the basement was really nice as well. The deck was my favorite part as it sits right on the water and gives you a wonderful view. We had a fire in the fire-pit and sat out roasting marshmallows and enjoying the stars our last night there. The owner is extremely friendly and does a great job of communicating before you arrive and after you leave. We would absolutely stay here again."

  • Beautiful property, locale and accommodations! Highly Recommended!

"The Muskegon River Retreat is a great getaway on the Muskegon River! The cabin is very well appointed, comfortable, and has many nice amenities. It has many personal touches reflecting many seasons of family enjoyment of the outdoors and the river. Early mornings are the best with fog rolling across the river and bald eagles high in the trees. We will be back!"
