  • Great Escape!

"We just returned from a four night stay in August. By the time I booked in Feb/March, only the two smaller cabins were left, but we were able to fit two families of 4-5 members each into each cabin. The cabins were very clean. AC unit in one and central air in the other. Paper towels, toilet paper, and a few dish towels, wash cloths and larger towels provided in a laundry basket. You could leave the basket out with dirty towels and a request for replenished paper products on Monday and Thursday. Lots of dishes and utensils provided. You can tell the owner, Jeff, and his family takes great pride in this property. Jeff lives onsite and can be seen often doing work around the grounds. Very friendly and talkative :). It looked like there were maybe two other family groups on the property at the same time, but it never felt crowded. There is a nice sized beach, lots of grassy areas for the kids to run and play and a "game garage" complete with bikes of all sizes (bring helmets), foosball, shuffleboard and a few other things. Water smelled a little funny (maybe just because we are city folk!) Water pressure and temperature were good. We drank bottled water. Meijer is just off the main expressway about 10 min down the road. There is a mom and pop corner store a two minute walk if you need pop, chips, etc. but I wouldn't do big shopping there. Bring your own fishing poles. There were canoes and kayaks to use and some provided sand toys, noodles and a few inflatables. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return!"

  • So much more than we expected!

"Michelle was absolutely wonderful in helping us plan our cottage stay! She answered my questions quickly and I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. My husband and I, along with our 3 children, ages 10, 8, and 2 had a blast just hanging out on the water for the week. The water was very shallow and perfect for the kids to play, and the kids had so much fun with the kayaks. We were even able to use the canoe! EVERYTHING we could possibly think of was provided, from towels and bedding to a HUGE variety of sand and beach toys and life jackets for all ages! The house was extremely clean and bright and cheerful, and the sunroom made the perfect board game room for our family. I HIGHLY recommend the Island View Cottage! OH! and Michigan's Adventure is just a few miles away!"

  • Perfect For Our Family

"This rental cottage was a perfect fit for our family. We needed something large enough to fit and sleep our extended family of 10, and this worked great. The beds were very comfortable. There was a large table in the dining area that fit us all. The cottage was cute and not too fancy, which was exactly what we wanted. The only downside for us was that the water edge area was down a somewhat steep hill that was not easy for our mom to navigate up and down, but other than that we felt right at home and will be staying there again next year. Grocery store was close just in town, the cottage was clean and neat, the owner was easy to get a hold of and easy to work with and we would recommend this to our friends and family. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us! We loved our time there!"
