  • Beautiful Cottage!

"We had a wonderful week in the Green Cottage! We had 5 adults in our group and were very comfortable in the cottage. We really enjoyed eating our meals in the new screened in deck! The deeded access to Bass Lake was nice and we used it a couple times to cool off in the lake. We also went into Ludington for the SS Badger fireworks on Independence Day and for breakfast and dinner, the house is so close to Ludington and Pentwater which is perfect. Charles Mears State Park/Pentwater Beach is a nice as we remembered! We were so happy that the red chairs have been replaced by two comfy La-z-Boy recliners! Only a two minor issues: a funky mildew smell throughout the house and the front screen door kept getting jammed and we got stuck in/out of the house. Overall we loved the location of the house and the comforts of the living space and kitchen! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!"

  • Great Location between Holland and Grand Haven

"This house is perfect for 4 couples. Great for families, however small kids really need a watchful eye because of all the steps. This house was very clean. The house has 4 levels, master on 4th level and the other bedrooms are on the 3rd level. Main living on the 2nd floor. There is plenty of room for everyone. The basement has all the beach supplies anyone would need, toys, chairs, umbrella's you name it they have it. You have your own private beach and right around the corner is an area for beach volleyball if you like. A short walk down the board walk makes walking to the beach very easy. Wonderful Lake Michigan views from the house and most of the bedrooms. The screened in porch is great. We spent most of our time on the front deck. There are no complaints. The owners were easy to work with. I hope to go back to this house again. I really like the dates in/out being on Friday's it's so much better than Saturday-Saturday. (when you get home from your trip, you still have the weekend to catch up before going back to work) Another great trip to Lake Michigan!"

  • Great for kids! (and the rest of the family, too!)

"In selecting a vacation home, our primary goal was to find one with a nice, sandy beach for the kids (two 9 year olds). The water was very clear, a nice sandy bottom and shallow way beyond the end of the pier. Although we kept an eye on them, we really didn't have to worry about them when they were in the water. They loved the little kayaks and the pedal boat and my daughter and the boys pedaled over to the island twice, where they were pleased to find a nice sandy beach on the other side. The home itself was immaculate and very well stocked - more dishes and glasses than we would possible use. The array of small kitchen appliances was great, and we got a bit of use out of the electric skillet. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and after-dark bonfires. We didn't do much exploring in western Michigan because we were happy to stay put where we were. I didn't have any reason to contact Kathy, but received a text welcome message from her and was confident that if we did have a problem, she would have resolved it for us right away. The welcome packet sent out in advance was most helpful and contained more information than I have ever received for a vacation rental. All in all, a perfect vacation experience and I hope we can return at some point in the future."
