  • Top Notch

"We were visiting from the Pacific Northwest for Thanksgiving and were very fortunate to have stayed at this wonderful house. It's in a great location, and provided beautiful accommodations for our entire family. The house was immaculate and the décor outstanding. Jim and Dawn are wonderful hosts - and made us out-of-towners feel welcome and well informed of local attractions. We look forward to coming back again - and I would recommend the Jackson Street Retreat without hesitation."

  • Excellent condo in downtown Grand Haven!

"We greatly enjoyed this condo. It is comfortable, well decorated, functional, and close to everything you'd want to do in downtown Grand Haven. We visited in the winter and couldn't have been happier. The owner was helpful and quick to respond. We would happily stay here again."

  • Great Location!

"Overall we had a great stay. Grand Haven is one of our favorite towns and we love the convenience of staying above the stores on Main Street. This rental needs a few fix ups - The screen door to the balcony is broken and the sliding storm door needs to be fixed. It was still operable, just very difficult. The balcony is very narrow and shared with the apartment next door so we didn't use it as much as we thought we would anyways. Wifi went out on Friday of our stay. I contacted the owner on Saturday to say it was still out and they were responsive to say they would call charter, but we tried playing with the modem ourselves and were able to fix it. But I read it stopped working in other reviews, so it seems like it's a consistent problem. Wasn't a big deal for us but others might not be able to be without it. Also, a tv in the master bedroom would be a nice addition. There were no hangers in the closets so we went and purchased hangers and left them for the next guests because who brings hangers on vacation? You have access to washer and dryer which is nice, but only from 8pm-10am and the dryer isn't very powerful so it took three cycles of drying to dry two towels and a few t shirts, so that was inconvenient when trying to do it at night. Lastly, you can hear your neighbors. We had our two dogs and the tenants next door could hear them barking when we went out for groceries and complained. We could also hear their child up crying through the night and running around during the day - so just be aware if there is someone next door you will be able to hear each other. Overall, the owner was responsive to questions and feedback, the place was clean and large enough to comfortably have four people and the location cannot be beat! Great stay for the rate in downtown!!"

  • Excellent location & quiet neighborhood

"Great place to stay! We were able to walk or bike to everything. This cottage is clean and provides you with multiple amenities. If there is something you forgot coffee, shampoo, paper products, it is there for you. Washer/dryer, iron, bikes, games in the shed out back were very nice additions. We had many nights out back with the fire pit. Thankful we found this gem to stay in. We would definitely recommend a stay here."
