  • Perfect

"The King's Cottage was perfect for our family of 4 (adult teenagers). Nice updates inside and out. Can't beat the view East up Lake Mac! Parking right in front was perfect. Easy walking to the beach...fantastic sunsets....Big Red....couldn't ask for more! Communication with Kathy was perfect as well. Will definitely return."

  • Great family accommodations! Baby gates inside and on upper deck make it pretty kid proof

"Location great to both Tunnel Beach and Holland State Park. Bike/walking/running path right out front door. Biked to Grand Haven and also through Holland to south side of lake Macatawa. Wished there was another large garbage can. Left a big can of garbage for incoming renters :( because garbage day is Thursdays. Nice new Weber grill and large table for 8-10 for outside dining. Kitchen is stocked with great utensils/pots/pans/muffin tins/etc. Wished they had more dish towels. Only had 2 so we used lots(too much) of paper towel. Cooling A/C alittle uneven. Quite cold lower level and warm upstairs. We left outlet plugs for upcoming "little guests". Not related to rental but we were told at Tunnel Park annual passes for 3 cars were good at all parks. Then at Holland State Park we were told this type of pass not valid. So we had to spend more $$ on passes. Private beach usage was not available due to erosion. DeBoers for breakfast and bakery items. Blueberry picking at Bowermans. Ottawa Beach Inn was fun to walk to and sit outside. Short drive to Itty Bitty Bar. Great menu and fun atmosphere! Worth the drive !!"

  • Great Location between Holland and Grand Haven

"This house is perfect for 4 couples. Great for families, however small kids really need a watchful eye because of all the steps. This house was very clean. The house has 4 levels, master on 4th level and the other bedrooms are on the 3rd level. Main living on the 2nd floor. There is plenty of room for everyone. The basement has all the beach supplies anyone would need, toys, chairs, umbrella's you name it they have it. You have your own private beach and right around the corner is an area for beach volleyball if you like. A short walk down the board walk makes walking to the beach very easy. Wonderful Lake Michigan views from the house and most of the bedrooms. The screened in porch is great. We spent most of our time on the front deck. There are no complaints. The owners were easy to work with. I hope to go back to this house again. I really like the dates in/out being on Friday's it's so much better than Saturday-Saturday. (when you get home from your trip, you still have the weekend to catch up before going back to work) Another great trip to Lake Michigan!"

  • Family Vacation 2016

"Painted Sky was a perfect cottage for our whole family (6 adults, 3 small boys). Very clean, cute decor, and wonderfully filled with everything you need. They go above and beyond with beach towels, sand toys, Tonka trucks, bikes, play gym, towels, outdoor furniture, and plenty of supplies. It is close to many of the fun activities if you wanted to venture beyond the beach and cottage. We would highly recommend it and hope to come back. The owners were great to correspond with and prompt."
