  • Fabulous "Sandcastle on the hill"

"From the very beginning of searching and inquiring about rentals, Pat's communication with me was great. The house sits at the end of the street so there is really only one close house neighbor on the one side. We rented this lovely home for bringing in the New Year with friends of ours. Our expectations were exceeded when we noticed how fully stocked and clean this house was. It really has just about all you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This is an older home that has been updated nicely for the layout. The home decor is fantastic. The living room was equipped with a gas fireplace that we used our entire visit. The dining area has a huge eight seat table. The kitchen has newer appliances and has everything you need for cooking and the fridge has an ice maker. The eat in kitchen has bar stools for the counter and a small table that we used for euchre. All this overlooks the park and channel of Lake Michigan with a wall of windows. The master bedroom is off the kitchen and it is a nice size. The bed is absolutely huge. There is no tv in this room. The attached bathroom is large and the shower pressure is grrrreat. The laundry room is off of that and it is equipped with nice and new appliances, complete with detergent, softener sheets and stain spray. We did a few loads of laundry during our visit. The upstairs has no bathroom so our pals that slept upstairs had to come down to the main bath that is off the kitchen. This is a cute bathroom and actually backs up to the opposite side of master bedroom but we didn't have any issues with sound while they took showers. The bedrooms upstairs do not have tvs. Our pals said they slept comfortably. The downstairs/converted garage has a full bath, a sitting area with an additional full size fridge and a separate bedroom with a bunk bed, two twins and a flat screen TV. All perfect for the kiddos or adults that want privacy. There are a lot of stairs so I would not recommend for people that may have issues. The outdoor area has multiple decks that would be great for warmer months to hang out on. The hot tub, we can't forget the hot tub. We absolutely got our use out of it. Ahhhhhhhh... The smaller back yard has a firepit, picnic table and lawn chairs. Overall, this place was great and the little touches are really appreciated that the owners have put into it for renters to enjoy. We definitely want to come back again. Feel confident with booking this for your next getaway! Thanks again, Pat!"

  • Family Fun

"This is the second time our family has stayed at Arbor Pointe. We love visiting Michigan every year and this cottage provides all the amenities you could possibly want. A private beach, dock, floating raft, a pontoon (rented at an additional charge), fishing, paddle boats, kayaks, and a swing set for the kids. We even rented a paddle board from a local shop in Pentwater who will deliver and pick-up! The weather was extremely hot during our stay so we missed having A/C. We brought fans and it cooled off some in the evening so it was bearable. Needless to say we spent most of our time on the lake and had an absolute blast. We would highly recommend this vacation home and look forward to our next visit. Thank you David and Laura for allowing us to make some more treasured memories with our family and sharing your cottage with us."

  • Enjoyed The Sound Of The River!

"We stayed here during mid-October when the leaves were just starting to change. We were welcomed by the gas stove already going for some heat. Wally came over & chatted with my husband who was already down by the river. He hadn't wasted any time putting his fishing pole to use. They allowed us to bring our 2 dogs which was another plus. We enjoyed walking the property with our dogs & sitting down by the river listening to the sounds. We did a little bit of sightseeing to some nearby towns which we thoroughly enjoyed! The last day there Wally called to give us a heads up about a Bald Eagle he had just seen. My husband happened to be outside and was able to see it which was a nice treat. We found our stay there very peaceful & quiet and would definitely recommend it. Also, found the guest book a special treat to read! Thank you for sharing your home by the river!"

  • Very special unique place!

"My husband and I just spent five days at this special cottage. I hated to leave! It was so cozy and quiet. I could just live in the master bedroom listening to the sounds of the river!! It was very well stocked and spotlessly clean! It was fun to sit around the fire pit at night and roast marshmallows looking at the stars. The Newaygo area is fun with lots of hiking trails and small lakes with swimming holes and beaches. We will certainly be back!"
